A Republican working on Herschel Walker’s campaign is suing a somewhat regular host and his wife on Fox News over an allegation that the married, conservative commentator allegedly fondled him after a few drinks while working together in Atlanta, GA.
NBC News reports- The operative, who worked as an aide to Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker last year, told NBC News that Schlapp “reached in between my legs and fondled me” during a car ride that followed a night of drinking at two Atlanta bars on Oct. 19. He is seeking $9.4 million from Schlapp and his wife, Mercedes Schlapp, on four civil counts related to allegations of “sexual battery” and claims that the Schlapps and others dishonestly tried “to discredit” him, according to a copy of the lawsuit.
Both NBC News and The Daily Beast, which first reported the allegation, granted anonymity to the operative, who was concerned about potential professional harm from openly accusing a leader in the conservative movement of unwanted groping. In the lawsuit, he is identified by the pseudonym “John Doe.”
Matt Schlapp is most well known for his role as Chairman of the American Conservative Union, which hosts CPAC, America’s largest and most popular annual conservative gathering.
The popular conservative Wayne Dupree was less than gracious in his assessment of Matt Schlapp and his wife, Mercedes. Here’s what he had to say:
Two people have just quietly disappeared from Fox News, thanks to a growing scandal that’s ongoing. And before I explain what’s going on, I will disclose that I am not a fan of either of these people. They both toe the GOP establishment line and throw Trump under the bus every chance they get. They’re a husband and wife team who claim to be the most “powerful” conservatives in the country. And I disagree. In terms of appeal from the “base,” no, they are not powerful. But they’re probably the most funded by people like McConnell and Romney, so that does give them limited power…However, thanks to a big scandal unfolding, all of that could come crashing down.
Matt Schlapp, the guy who trashed Trump supporters on January 6th and even suggested that Ashli Babbitt may have “deserved” to be shot and killed, has been accused of fondling a man who worked on the Herschel Walker campaign. I am sure his wife, Mercedes, is thrilled about that.
Honestly, I never put two-and-two together and realized that Matt and Mercedes were actually married. I just had always thought Matt Schlapp was gay.
I still think Matt Schlapp is gay…
It’s been a rough year for Matt Schlapp, who once canceled the appearance of the founder of the Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft at CPAC because he was too controversial. Apparently, when you tell the truth or report what the dishonest mainstream media won’t, you’re too controversial for CPAC. On March 2022, the Gateway Pundit reported about Matt Schlapp taking a six-figure check from a left-leaning network with ties to George Soros.
From the Gateway Pundit – It’s widely known that CPAC is a pay-for-play scheme that frowns on grassroots conservatives.
But this latest revelation on CPAC and their Director Matt Schlapp is even a surprise to us.
The American Conservative Union (ACU) – which hosts the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) – took a six-figure donation from a leading left-wing fund for the purposes of “civil rights, social action, advocacy,” according to the fund’s financial records dated 2020, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.
The New Venture Fund, whose mission statement revolves around “Race, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Commitment,” issued a cash grant of $183,250 to the ACU, run by Matt and Mercedes Schlapp, in 2020. The fund is known for its work supporting anti-Trump, anti-conservative initiatives.
According to Raheem Kassam of the National Pulse:

Wayne Dupree reports – Schlapp did not respond to text messages seeking comment, including one detailing each point of his accuser’s story. His lawyer, Charlie Spies, did not immediately return a call from NBC News seeking comment on the allegations. But Spies did tell The Daily Beast, which first reported on the staffer’s story, that Schlapp had denied them.
On Friday evening, after this story was published, two ACU board members issued a statement standing by Schlapp.
“We stand squarely behind Matt Schlapp, and the ACU Board of Directors has full confidence in his leadership of the organization,” said Charlie Gerow and Carolyn Meadows, the first and second vice chairs of the board.
C’mon!
This is rubbish
On the very few occasions in my life where I’ve been fondled in an unwanted way it has never occurred to me to sue. Just made it clear I didn’t appreciate it and let it go. The idea that the person ought pay me multi millions of dollars seems absurd. Now if they put me in a situation where they continued and I could not make them stop might be different...
I got ball-grabbed by the skanky receptionist at a Christmas party one year. I should have lawyered up I guess.
I pray that one day we are delivered from these Schlong Schlappers!!!
Well, I’ve been groped by girls before but I don’t really count the occasions as being entirely unwanted. But then they only grabbed my backside. The ones I am counting as unwanted where by other guys. Still with the gropes from the girls, I kind of enjoyed it and kind of disliked it, so I suppose its a wash.
I’m not a fan of either of them, but this doesn’t pass the smell test.
Wrth reading as it reveals that CPAC is kubuki theater and the ACU is just another collection of beltway whores.
Exactly, I think it starts with a P.
👍.............................
The Diceman spoke truth.
I am so disappointed how many here take a nameless person’s account and demonize this good man.
What happened to ‘verify’
Many of you just accepted this story and rushed to judgment!
Maybe after all these years I am on the wrong forum
canceled the appearance of the founder of the Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft at CPAC because he was too controversial.
At what point during the ‘groping’ did you punch him in the face?
Of course they’ve taken a timeout. They’re being sued, with a coordinated attack on them. Guilty or innocent, Fox isn’t their main gig.
But I don't have a T.V. and avoid the MSM like they are stinking meat.
I got shoulder surgery the other day. I was on the gurney wearing my stupid gown, under a sheet.
Nurse came in, cute, late 20’s to early 30’s. She’s talking, making sure I had my street clothes in a bag, my papers in the folder, etc. Then she adjusted the sheet on top and slid a hand under the sheet and gown and grabbed me right on the ol’ wiener.
Very obvious that it was on purpose. She gave me a smile and a wink and said “You are all set!”
I DID appreciate it!
LOL!!!
I was going to say, without having any information and just basing it on a gut feeling, they were targeted. In fact, my first thought is, NOW, you aren’t even safe if you bring a female into meetings with you. They’ll actually sue BOTH of you!
A name with a built in lisp.
