A few days ago I was in the Broward Meat Market and to my very pleasant surprise I noticed a bunch of chicken wing packages priced at only 99 cents per pound. WOW! Of course, I immediately bought two packs for a total of 20 chicken wings. Later, at home, I "winged" it to put together an improvised marinade consisting of Italian dressing, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Frank's hot sauce. After marinating the chicken wings overnight in this marinade mixture I made garlic paste and combined it with Goya Sazonador Total seasoning for the wing rub.

In these inflationary times, when you see packs of chicken wings selling for just 99 cents per pound, you don't think twice before grabbing it. My total cost for the 20 chicken wings was just about $7.

I bought mine yesterday at .69/lb at Aldis. A rare bargain.

Nice price but nasty marinade. LOL. I've often used Italian dressing for marinade. It's actually pretty good.

Italian dressing by itself makes a wonderful marinade for shrimp kabobs. My favorite is shrimp kabobs grilled over mesquite charcoal.

You know, you COULD share.... I did... with my wife. However, next time I am going for a bit spicier rub. Anyway, I've been trying to increase my wife's tolerance for spicy heat for years. I've already gotten her to be a fan of jalapenos which she originally couldn't tolerate.

Chicken wings are the only part of the chicken I like.
(Not a poultry person, in general; prefer red meat.)

Maybe they were from retired chickens.
