Twenty-four years ago today, I “officially” became a FReeper. I had attended the March for Justice on October 31, 1998, and that event convinced me the FRee Republic was the “right” place to “hang out.”
Having “lurked” for a few months prior to the March for Justice, I was delighted to meet so many like-minded people, all of whom came to WDC on their own nickel, to exercise their First Amendment Rights and protest the Clinton administration. March for Justice video
It was the first of many “FReeps” I attended in the WDC area (and elsewhere over the years) before I had to move to Florida in 2004 to attend to my late mother.
In the period of time I was in WDC, the WDC FRee Republic Chapter was VERY actively protesting against Bill Clinton and the LIEberal scumbags who were (and still are!) intent on overthrowing our Constitutional Republic. I am posting this "vanity" to thank all of you with whom I have interacted with over these past 24 years who have had a positive influence on my life via FRee Republic. Since I would invariably leave out someone (there are WAAAAY too many to name), I'll just say "Thank you FReepers!" Come February 20, 2023 it will be 25 years for me.
Around the same time we were goofing off at work with the internet - our company did not have filters or firewalls at the time - everything was new - so we would get a laugh out of searching for “Playboy” - it was stopped.
A Romanian immigrant in our IT Department told me about a new site - Free Republic. He said it was the only site where he got his news. I was hooked.

I learned about Sandy Burglar stealing National Archives for the Clintoons, watched the indignant press laud over Web Hubble’s daughter, followed the disgrace of HRC try to ruin private sector healthcare, first learned of Matt Drudge and the bent one’s raping, read about Clinton selling our missile tech to the communist Chinese for campaign donations and even caught up on DB Cooper rummers all here on FR. Come what may, JR keeps the faith. Non of this is possible in any other country.

There was a legal kerfluffle some years ago, the details of which I do not recall.
Had to do with a really bad/wrong ruling by a LIEberal court in Kali-Fornia which cost Jim a lot of money and, in effect, curtailed FRee Republics’s influence and growth.
IMHO, it was a precursor to the sort of Facebook, Twitter, et al banning conservative FRee speech crap we are learning about now.
LIEberals are intent on stifling and shutting down FRee and open discussion of the issues!
FRee Republic is a place where we used to be able to post articles FRom every source, but the LIEberal court stopped that, so now there are certain information sources that cannot be quoted on FR.
