Earlier this year, the Alabama legislature passed the Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, which became effective on May 8. It bans puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgery to alter the biological sex of a minor. A huge number of left-wing advocacy organizations immediately sued the state, and the U.S. Justice Department intervened in the lawsuit, echoing their claims that the new Alabama law violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

The Eagle Forum is not a party to the lawsuit. Yet the Justice Department has served what is referred to as a third-party subpoena on the Eagle Forum. This subpoena outrageously demands that the Eagle Forum and its members turn over all:
- information and communications it has or engaged in over the law and any predecessor bills;
- materials that were considered by the Forum connected to the legislation or any draft or model bills;
- documents concerning the Forum’s “legislative or policy goals, initiatives, and/or strategies relating to medical care or treatment of transgender minors, or minors with gender dysphoria”;
- communications with—and testimony, letters, reports, etc., sent to—state legislators or their staff; and any other government agencies and officials in Alabama over the legislation;
- communications with any other nongovernmental organizations over the legislation;
- internal minutes and records of meetings, polling and public opinion data, video presentations and speeches, newsletters and emails, and social media postings related to the legislation.
In other words, the Justice Department wants to turn the Eagle Forum inside out, forcing it to turn over its records on everything it does. This would let government lawyers paw through and scrutinize everything, including privileged communications and even personal discussions and communications with other private citizens and nonprofit organizations.

The January 6 Capitol protest was exactly what the First Amendment was designed to protect yet how many political prisoners are in jail now for exercising their First Amendment rights?
It should be obvious by now that we’re currently living under a rogue government that is actively suppressing our constitutional freedoms.

This is exactly what they are doing to Alex Jones.
He was the proof-of-concept for de-platforming from the Internet.
The Sandy Hook trials are the proof-of-concept of a weaponized judiciary.
Everybody is on the menu after it works on Alex.

It gets worse the deeper you look. The
motion to quash and subpoena lay out, in the starkest terms the fact that the DOJ is seeking the private information of a group of people seeking to participate in the political process, and advocate for public policy changes that were later part of legislation passed by the elected representatives of the people of Alabama. There is nothing in the subpoena that is even remotly legitmate, and it really does appear that this is simply an effort to chill political participation by the domestic opponents of the current regime.
That's a BIG deal. The DOJ (and even the FBI under them) are supposed to go to great lengths to AVOID chilling speech, and are specifically not allowed to bring the power of the government to bear against individual citizens absent a genuine legal need for the information sought.
The Democrat party is acting as if they'll never be out of power. Do they know something that we don't?

This is Eagle Forum of Alabama, and I am encouraged to see this group taking action on the subject regarding these demonic actions of child mutilation and corruption.
So, I went to the Eagle Forum of Georgia website to see if possibly there was activity going on here in Georgia, but it looks like that site is pretty dead and the last updates seem to be in 2018.
I sent a message on their contact form anyhow, but not holding my breath.
I’m going to donate to the Eagle Forum of Alabama, to help with this stand against tyranny.
Our nation is sure going down fast.

anything they want to call a domestic terrot threat is screwed until 2025, assuming we get a new Potus who will reign in the deep state. Congress can hold hearings but they report to Biden.

Pretty much buisiness as usual for the justice department.
Some additional background.
Back when Clinton was President, HUD rented an old motel in a residential area to house homeless drug addicts. Local residents exercised their rights of speech to petition their representatives. HUD issued almost identical subpeonas in what was referred to as a SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation). This suit was designed to intimidate the local residents and impose onerous requirements for documents. HUD admitted the right of these residents to take these actions but claimed the rights of the druggies trumpted the rights of the residents. The residents did not have the resources (do you think Eagle Forum would) to continue the fight so they settled.
The terms of the settlement were outrageous. The residents had to have a Welcoming Party for the druggies, provid HUD with a complete program of speakers and their texts, detailed descriptions of the food and refreshments to be served, etc.
this was covered extensvily in the WSJ in the mid 90s.

If interested here is some info on Becky Gerritsen, the Exec Dir of the Eagle Forum.
Becky and her husband have been involved in conservative politics at least back to the Wetumpka Tea Party days in 2009.
This will be a good case to watch. One would think an AL judge would quash such a ridiculous subpoena but we shall see.
