Of course Trump’s lawyers should face consequences if they lied in the lawsuit. This is boilerplate. Perhaps the mere insertion of it could be considered a threat by some.
Of most interest to me is the details of why the lawsuit was dismissed. Was that in the Newsweek article or the finding of the judge?

U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks of the Southern District of Florida relied on Westfall Act claims made last week by Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, FBI agent Peter Strzok, and two FBI lawyers, Lisa Page and Kevin Clinesmith, when he granted the government’s motion to substitute Friday morning.
The Westfall Act allows the federal government to substitute itself as defendants in civil claims against federal employees when claims are related to defendants’ work as an employee.
James G. Touhey Jr., director of the Torts Branch at the Department of Justice, certified the Westfall Act claims ahead of the substitution filing. Under Middlebrooks’ order the U.S. government will now defend the claims in their stead. But Middlebrooks said Trump may still dispute at trial the validity of actions taken by the current and former FBI personnel.
