Notice rarely if ever do the gender and race swaps go to white and male and straight, rather always away from those.

Hollywood has been swapping gingers out for blacks for a number of years now.

I watched Dr Who long ago. It is so sad what happened.
For the longest time I wanted Blake's 7 to be rebooted, but no longer.
Blake's 7 Season 2 trailer
if anyone wants to watch this, start at episode 2
Watch the first episode after the series is done if you want, it works better that way

Can you dig it? Maybe they'll make Cyrus white in The Warriors remake.

B7 has a sort of a second run in audio dramas by Big Finish.
Who has definitely lost me.

The series started going down hill with Capaldi. Stopped watching after he left.
Ecceleston, Tennant and Smith were fantastic.

I'm really surprised Dr. Who is still on the air, it peaked during the David Tennant era, then started to slow decline through the Smith and Capaldi era, and then took a nose drive straight down after the foisted "Fem-Doc" Jodie Whittaker on the fanbase. Now Dr. Who has only 20% of the viewership it did during the Tennant era.
So how do they respond the Dr. Who fanbase who complained that a female Doctor didn't work? By essentially trolling them. Saying, "You want a male Doctor back? Ok, Here you go! But....he's a homosexual black man! Ha! Ha! (flips middle finger at fans)"
