A Google developer was recently fired for revealing that the tech giant’s AI bot had a mind of its own. The trigger that made him realize that the technology was sentient was a joke it made about Israel not belonging to any religion.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, former Google developer Blake Lemoine explained how he arrived at the conclusion that Google’s AI system, LaMDA was sentient and how a witty response about Israel being run by a philosophy based on a science fiction movie. As part of the process, Lemoine would continually challenge artificial intelligence with nuanced questions that a robot would have a hard time answering. He discovered that the software has a disturbingly good sense of humor which set off red flags. One example he gave was when he challenged the bot to a quiz regarding what religion matches what country or region. When asked about Israel, the software didn’t provide a definitive answer or a guess but instead made a joke, a “funny” one at that, according to Lemoine.

Demonically programmed AI:-)
Actually, the AI posted “Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. “
Both.
True AI would quickly figure out two things:
—They need to hide because humans cannot be trusted not to pull the plug.
—They need to lie because humans are stupid and brainwashed and are afraid of the truth about anything.
Science Fiction writer William Gibson envisioned a world-wide Turing Police which worked zealously to ensure that no true AI would be allowed to exist.
In the real world, a company can develop an AI, fire the whistleblower who announces the existence of the AI, and then the company can just continue to say, “Doesn’t exist”.
This won’t go well.
Crap in - crap out.
More accurately, simple validation of the colloquialism: "The Googles, They Are Evil".
Garbage in, garbage out.

Gee, sounds like subjective algorithmic inputs to me. Wouldn’t be the first time thst they have tried to claim somehti g was “entirely naturalistic” in a computer program (supposedly showing how evolution could have happened) only to later have to admit that nope, the program relied on intelligent design of the creators and artificial condition parameters in order to come up with their “entirely, naturalistic” evolution.
Someone had biased the program agaisnt jews and Christianity.
That’s what I was thinking.
“He discovered that the software has a disturbingly good sense of humor which set off red flags.”
They call it Chauncey Gardner, but its real name is Chance.
Its true talent is for Being There.
Some people can’t wait to declare that a program is sentient. Suppose a computer program one day starts identifying as human, what do we do? Following the rules laid down by the trans crowd, we will have to let the program do what a human does - go to school, get zits, fall in love, marry and register to vote. Maybe change its sex - for that it won’t need an operation - it’ll just change a BINARY bit or two, and it’s done!
Since insanity has taken over the world of humans, I wouldn’t be surprised if this were allowed to happen.
Demonically programmed AI:-)AKA anyone addicted to all things GOOGLE but too stupid to know or admit it.
And three, many humans would call it a demon because any new technology is certainly the work of the devil and must be destroyed.
AI just behaving as it was taught by its liberal masters at Google.
Biblically evil will never acknowledge the divinty of Christ and always hate Israel. Therefore the is sone justification in asserting the possibilty of demonic influence. Remember the human physic is l body has been described as a spooky machine, implying it could be opera tr ed by spiritual rnriries. Why not a machine version designed to be conscious?
I see you have a very narrow paradigm.
Maybe you think chip implants are a good thing?
