Hi all. Just a little interesting tidbit about a recent bout of COVID in our family (extended).
Bottom line, my mom is in home health care far away from our home with my aunt and uncle. While I and my son visited, my cousin and her hubby had literally just come back from Germany (permanently - lived there very long time). FYI they were still tested before plane trip out.
That hubby got COVID while we were there and my son and I left soon and “quarantined” in my moms house so we didn’t affect my husband. BUT my cousin (male, brother to German cousin) lives at moms house and we quickly interacted without too much worry. Finally son and I went home, while COVID went through my aunt’s house.
Thought I’d summarize the vax and illness status from this.
Never had illness, vaxed, not boosted: German Cousin - sick Cousins hubby -sick Aunt - sick Uncle - sick (not much but ended up positive) Next-door neighbor (works for my aunt and visits all the time) - sick
Had illness, vaxed and boosted: Local cousin in mom’s house - sick (THEN was made to go TO my sick aunt’s house despite my concern with my mom living there!)
Had illness, never vaxed: Me - nothing Son - nothing My mom - nothing
Sorry - cannot believe it didn’t format as a simple list!
So that’s 9 people overall in contact.
All the positives were of vaxed people, even my cousin here locally who was sick along with all of us way back.
The 3 of us who never vaxed, but did have the disease, did not get sick this time. Even my frail mother who was living with them all at the time.
BTW, last note: everyone is fine, never even went to another doctor.
Which means despite being sick, they never counted for the “cases” that would bring down the death rate.
During the summer I frequently visit a family owned RV campsite up in New Hampshire. Last summer, I caught a lot of grief due to my non-vaxxed status. Some family members, I regret to say, did not visit on weekends I came up on account of that. They were afraid that I might "give it" to them, especially since I live near and work in New York City, the supposed epicenter of the whole thing.
Well this summer, many of those triple-vaxxed relatives could not come up to camp on account that they came down with COVID!
Meanwhile, my unvaccinated body has not been sick in years despite no masks, no social distancing, and remains as healthy as a 60-year-old can be.
I appreciate your effort to post this.
I also note the insanity of trying to make sense out of a “vaccine” that does not vaccinate. This is perfect for our CDC which doesn’t want anyone to understand any of this, anyway.

My symptoms are mirroring his.

Same here. Four unjabbed PureBloods who've had covid only once. I've got a couple of sisters who got vax and I know one did the J&J but the other had a two jab series. Not sure if it was Moderna or Pfizer. They both live in another state and we don't talk much. I'll have to email them and see if they've been sick.
I have never been vaccinated for the Wuhan Flu. A family member got the vaccination in 2021, on the advice of her doctor, and died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage three weeks after her second shot.
So far, I have had the Wuhan Flu twice. I first caught the it back in 2020, before there were any vaccines. I caught it again this year. My symptoms were much worse the second time than the first. I don’t know if that is because the second strain was worse than the first, or because I was two years older.
If you cannot get immunity for more than a year after actually getting the virus, I don’t see any way you can get longer immunity from the vaccination, which at best only immunizes you to some DNA fragments in the virus.

In my case I believe I contracted it going to a hockey game - against my better judgment. The symptoms began with extreme joint soreness, then night sweats, followed by fever and chills. I lost my appetite and could not even drink a glass of orange juice for three weeks. Then I lost my hearing for three days. My ears weren’t plugged, but I was as deaf as a stone. I was incredibly weary and could not stay awake for more than two hours at a time. I had brain-fog and confusion. At the same time, I had nausea, stomach cramps, then diarrhea. Oddly, I had only minor cough. All this lasted for a month, and it may be a coincidence, but as soon as I began taking zinc with quceien the symptoms started to go away and I regained my appetite. At no point did I think I was going to die, but, at the same time, I wondered if I’d ever get better.

This is why we will never hear the end of Covid. People insist on talking about it. I had Covid over 18 months ago and it it was no big deal I had 3 shots and it was no big deal. I only wear masks when I have to and it sucks that I have to at work ut other than that I am living my life unconcerned about Covid. You should stop talking about it. If you want to maybe go to Facebook. This is a political discussion forum and not a place for thousands of people to hear about your personal life.
Concur. My wife gets a cold two to three times a year, sometimes it really makes her sick. I almost never get a cold and at most get the sniffles. I never change my habits when she gets sick-sleep in the same bed and get kisses.
I was at my doctor’s office 2 weeks ago. I was pretty sick with a respiratory issue, as were my son and wife.
We all three tested negative for COVID. She asked if we were vaccinated. None of us have been vaccinated.
She said that’s what she figured. They are seeing a lot of COVID positives right now, and every one has been vaccinated.
Odd writing. Your third paragraph doesn’t fit with the second paragraph.

Take another gander. We are COVID negative and not vaxxed.

It’s terrible that people have to be rude responding to your post. This is also a place where we share information and help each other- take the help and investigate for ourselves, or leave it- no harm, no foul. My husband has Covid right now -the only vaccination he got was Johnson and Johnson because he had to get vaccinated for work and I couldn’t talk him out of it —I talked him out of any additional boosters. He did not get PCR test- home antigen test (NOT government issue for ‘free’ I would never request them) lit up instantly positive. We take a very heavy supplement regimen of quercetin zinc vitamin D curcumin - we added others per the FLCCC protocols and another one I can’t remember right now because I am EXHAUSTED from taking care of him since Thursday. He has diabetes type 2 (is NOT overweight and never has been) and is 60 years old. He needs extra care whether GI bug, flu, or Covid. Difficult 2 days with blood sugars nearing 300 and NOT ONE physician (including his personal physicians) would help with insulin for his blood sugars-must have spent over 3 hours making phone calls including a telemed dr who wouldn’t help his blood sugars but felt need to piously tell him “stop the ivermectin, it doesn’t work “ . I a nurse- I am SICK AND TIRED of the disgusting cowardly physicians in this country. He turned corner after ivermectin and is doing better. Still has one more day of isolation. It is NOT easy if symptoms lay you up. It is full time job making sure he takes everything that is helping him and eats/hydrates. I am so tired, but so far testing negative and thanking God for that AND that he is doing better. If we hadn’t learned what to do on our own the past 2 years, he would not be getting better. We also have him steaming and doing nasal irrigation with saline/iodine. I am grateful GRATEFUL for brave unashamed people like you (and others sharing their journeys on the posts at FR) who share their story and information. The point is to put some anecdotal information out there for those wanting more ammo for discussing the disease or the vaxes.
Stop talking about it? Tell the fools who still wear masks and the shops that insist you still wear a mask, and the DOCTORS who insist on “screening” and masks (of different types depending on which “expert” you visit) and STILL kick you out of you fail, because they are NOT heroes and strangely won’t handle you if you have been near COVID.
As for FR, There is a reason there is a “personal” section, and we label our threads “vanity”. There is much more than just political discussion here, and has been all my 20 years on here.

This anecdote of mine was just to indicate some data about your risks.
We have much more anecdotal information, including your observation about the appalling “heroics” of medical “heroes” - NOT! Also our experiences with COVID pre-vax, which included my MIL dying of COVID on THAT Jan 6, but all the rest of us surviving just fine, etc, the vax experiences of my relatives, etc.
It really is meant just for info.
