The Uvalde Police Department has come under scrutiny for allowing as many as 78 minutes to pass before entering the room where a shooter massacred 19 children and two adults at Robb Elementary School last Tuesday.
Amid intense controversy about the actions, or lack of actions, by the local police, the department released a statement regarding the events of last Tuesday.
In the statement, officials said, “Our entire department is thankful officers did not sustain any life threatening injuries.”
The line comes as a shock to many, considering the failure of police to act in a timely manner, which resulted in the deaths of so many children.

I swear when I read the headline I thought, “Eh, maybe a little too soon, Babylon Bee”. Then, much to my surprise...
Have you decided to not watch the multiple posted videos of such parents being: Taken down to the ground, peppered sprayed and handcuffed?
Now police divide the world into "Police" and "Civilian".
And at that point things go down hill very fast.
Because if you are not a civilian you are military. And the police are now an occupying army.
That is a very dangerous mind set for everyone.
We all better take a good look at our own towns and make sure we don’t have this same kind of force where we are, or else, it’s our kids at risk the next time. This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.
11:33 a.m......The suspect enters the schoo1
11:35 a.m......Officers arrive at the school
11:51 a.m......Police sergeant and US Border agents start to arrive
12:03 p.m......Officers assemble in the hallways
12:03 p.m..... Students begin to call 911
12:45 p.m......Border Patrol Tactical Unit disregarded orders to not engage
12:50 p.m......The shooting suspect is killed
If this is accurate, I can come to no other conclusion than yours.
Notice 5 MINUTES from the BP DOING THE RIGHT THING and the shooter being dead.
Hi guy.
From what I can read and see about Uvalde, this was an LEO epic fail.
You always move towards the gunfire. SOP.
5.56mm
Amen.
Finally, someone determined to take care of business...
Who thought this would be a good idea?
Who are the two in black watching the guy go directly toward a partially obscured entrance?
And now Arredondo has a police cordon surrounding his house, protecting his cowardly ass!
What is wrong in Uvalde?
That place stinks more than Joementia’s diapers.

At that range, no more than 40 feet max, a police shotgun firing slugs over iron sights would have been perfect. Window? What window?
You are absolutely correct.
In essense, what they are saying ius “We are glad it waS NOT US, JUST THE KIDS.”
Tasteless, crude jerks.
Whew.... terminate the entire staff.
What a stupid and insensitive statement to put out.
It sure is. I’m betting their public relations guy who wrote it is a Beto O’Rourke Supporter, too!
