Please pray for my mother. She fell Thurs/Fri night and broke the ball of her thigh. She is to have surgery TOMORROW, @ 10 am Eastern.
Merciful G-d, we pray to you for the recovery of all who are facing illness or pain.
We join our prayers with all who love them.
Grant them renewed strength and courage.
Strengthen in them the healing powers You have placed within us all.
Guide the hearts and hands of those who are entrusted with their care.
Help all who share the anxiety of this illness to be brave and hopeful.
Inspire them with courage and faith.
Grant Your blessings to all who call upon you.
Oh G-d, send your blessings to all who are ill.
Have mercy on them, and graciously restore their health and strength.
Grant them a complete recovery.
May healing come speedily.
May the knowledge of Your love give added hope to them and to their dear ones.
May they find even greater strength because our prayers are linked to theirs.
When pain and fatigue are our companions, let there be room in our hearts for strength.
When days and nights are filled with darkness, let the light of courage find its place.
Help us to endure the suffering and dissolve the fear, renew within us the calm spirit of trust and peace.
We praise You, Eternal G-d, the Source of healing and health.
Hang in there, Bro! It’s ALL gonna be fine!
Father please heal this good woman’s hip, let her pain be eased and the surgery go well.
Broken hips are no fun, I had one myself at 41, off work 3 months. Praying for your mom
Prayers for your mother - and you!
I’m very sorry. But the doctors and hospitals are very good at dealing with this now. I have a friend who went through it not too long ago. Long recovery and physical therapy, but people have a much better time of it now than in the past.
“My 82 year old wife basically just collapsed, not a fall on to our kitchen floor in Feb. of this year.”
You may already know - but the sequence is more often that one “breaks a hip and falls” instead of “falls and breaks a hip”, typically due to osteoporosis.
It is a painful recovery, but nothing compared to the pain before the surgical repair. And as recovery continues the pain lessens remarkedly.
She'll be grateful for your help post-surgery when she comes home.
Prayers for you too!
Prayers for your Mother, you, and the surgeon.
She is 85…previous Friday was her birthday!
I got out of the ER by 4:00 in the morning, so I’m not there. Back home. Still not sure of my health but it’s much better.
Oh I agree.
One of my concerns is psychological.
My mom’s grandma died indirectly from the broken hip. She watched her waste away in traction for everything. Mom tends to take those experiences to heart and not adjust for the advancements, so can be very pessimistic from that standpoint.
Prayers up.
Prayers up for your mom.
They probably have some counseling or other way of addressing that. At least, I’m sure they must be aware of the mental and emotional stress of an illness and recovery like that, and do what they can.
That is exactly what happened to my 89 year old mother. Even though she had been on osteoporosis meds for about 10 years prior.
She survived another 2 years, but the recovery was prolonged and she developed dementia.
Father God,
You are an ever present help in time of trouble. You will never leave us or forsake us. Praise Your Holy Name.
Completely heal the OILine Rebel. In the Name of Jesus we bind OILine Rebel fear concerning his mother’s upcoming surgery. May faith rise up in him as he puts his trust in You.
Guide the doctors as they mend his mother’s hip. May she have a full recovery.
In Jesus’ Name we pray. AMEN.
Dear God, our wonderful Creator,
I pray that you oversee both OlLine Rebela and her Mom as her Mom goes through her hip surgery Sunday Morning.
Amen.
Not that long. I broke mine and was up and around soon enough. If she puts effort into the PT she’ll be fine soon enough
Praying for a successful surgery and a full recovery.
Glad to hear you’re feeling better, praying for you both and hoping mom recovers with great strength!
Prayers for you both.
