I was listening to Glen Beck's opening this morning and he briefly discussed gender roles and brought up Rachel Levine. He referred to Levine as 'her' and it got me thinking, these conservative commentators near always do that. This isn't picking on Beck, they nearly all do it.
I see this as the verbal equivalent of 'bending the knee.' I know people do it out of a sense of kindness, like giving stuffed animals to members of MS-13 at the border. I think it is unhelpful. This is delusion, why should we feed into the delusions of people who are gender confused? I for a rule never do this. A man is a man and a woman is a woman and I want to this line to become clear again. Is that too harsh?
How do you deal with the pronoun 'issue?' Do you use the incorrect pronoun out of kindness or do you insist on the pronoun that actually describes the object of your discourse?
I refuse. Don’t comply.
Yep.
‘It’ or ‘that’ seems appropriate.
Interesting question. I suspect his Mormonism is a big influence. I have no idea what the view of the LDS is on transgenderism.
I don’t use the ‘Royal ‘We’’........................
Eh, people should be called what they want. Not a big deal.
My preferred pronouns are “Genius” and “Your bronzed sculptedness”.
Taking command of the language is a tactic to normalize the abnormal. No, I will not use preferred pronouns. Normalizing severe mental illness is not the compassionate path.
Republican is NOT the same as conservative.
The long list of Bush League Republicans is testament to that.
Youre not all We Wed up then ...
Don’t bend the knee.
I always say, you should always treat the mentally ill with compassion but you do not let them make policy or make the rules for the rest of us. You do not put them in positions of authority.
The ‘Royal We’ sounds so pretentious........
Elizabeth I, was the first to use it...................
You are absolutely right. Do not cave to their fantasies. A man is a man and a woman is a woman, and that cannot be changed. Call it like it is.
I laugh and mock them as cruelly as I can.
There’s also the royal ‘our:’ “It is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.” Elizabeth on hearing about the death of her half sister Mary Tudor. Not the usual reaction on hearing of the death of a sister?
’m not a big fan of Ben Shapiro but on this one he’s right. What you do in a personal interaction with someone does not have to reflect your approach to the broader issue. If you are in a position to deal with a freak personally, it’s not unreasonable to treat the freak respectfully as long as you are in its presence.

The problem that I see looming, however, is that it’s increasingly not just a rare occurrence anymore. I live and work in a metropolitan area (and in public education). There are those who may legitmately suffer from gender dysphoria, but then there is a growing fad of “gender-benders” who see pronouns and “gender fluidity” as a fashionable and trendy game to play. When society notices that it’s no longer less than 1% of the population demanding pronoun accomadations, but instead 20% (or more) then it will become so in-your-face that conservatives will be forced to react. This seems to be the next step in the full court press of the culture war.
I will utter three pronouns: he, she, and it.
Period.
Eliminating the competition..............
I have found that laughing in the face of wokesters is very effective. By the way, I was also (Banned from Breitbart)
If you’ve ever dealt with a triggered crazy you do not trigger them as you could end up in the hospital. Most people think it’s not worth the fight.
Anyone who is repulsed by these people can play that game as well as they can … even better. Give yourself the most ludicrous title or “gender pronoun” you can imagine (preferably in a foreign language), and get HR and all the company lawyers involved if those misfits don’t accede to your absurd demands.
