Prospective new Twitter owner Elon Musk says part of the reason for free speech being in peril is that the Democratic Party “has been hijacked by extremists.”
The billionaire has continued to respond to the fallout from his $44 billion dollar purchase of the company via the social media network.
On Thursday, Musk tweeted a diagram showing how the Overton Window has been dragged so far left, that people who not so long ago considered themselves liberals are now being lumped in with conservatives as “bigots.”
Critics responded by claiming that voting records show Republicans have moved further right.
It’s true that on aggregate, the right has moved more to the extreme than the left in Washington. But the small group on the far left has become very *culturally* powerful & out of fear, the rest of the left has often allowed them to speak (and make policies) for the whole left.

“So even though the left hasn’t moved that far left (as is shown by voting results), the left is in a sense being held hostage by their extreme wing, making a lot of people who enthusiastically voted for Obama feel politically homeless today,” he added.
Musk responded to the discussion by asserting, “I strongly supported Obama for President, but today’s Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists.”

The Tesla founder has previously described the woke cult as “one of the biggest threats to modern civilization.”
He has also labeled Joe Biden a “damp sock puppet,” asserting that the president “is treating the American public like fools.”
As we highlighted yesterday, the regime is so petrified of Musk turning Twitter into a true free speech platform, they have set up a special ‘disinformation unit’ under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security.
The unit will be run by Nina Jankowicz, a woman who previously promoted the false disinformation that the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a fake Russian propaganda campaign.
Ideologically, I am precisely where I was 30 years ago, EXCEPT I utterly detest leftists and Democrats far more than I ever have . . . by a long shot.
There was a time when you could reason with Democrats. but that is not possible now.
Musk has had insiders within Twitter for a while. He knows that a lot of the metrics on followers for the left are bogus and that a lot of the follower counts for the right have been depressed downward. So— Indeed, a VERY small number of people have become very powerful when they have no power at all. Musk is pulling back the curtain that the wizard has been hiding behind for a long time.
I’d expect that a very small number of people with their hands on the lever at Twitter knows what the real numbers are and are now rushing to level things out.
Musk is shining a very bright light on the unclothed emperor and there is nothing that can be done to stop that. Oh, they will try to bury Musk but he’s several moves ahead and then there is always Starlink. Starlink is the BIG chess piece, it’s the big red button from hell that only Musk has control over.

The right is continuously pulled, threatened, laws changed, etc., to move it the left. Life Ronald Reagan said, “I didn’t leave the democrat party, the democrat party left me.” Today in American conservatives have picked up democrat values incrimentally, like abortion or renting homes to section 8.... Republicans move leftward all the time, but the extremest labelling has everything to do with Truths that don’t change, and moral beliefs. Murder is always wrong as is homosexuality and pedifilla. That conservatives don’t like abortion, or because they do see themselves as bad people.... Democrats see themselves as being right on all issues without debate. They are racist in their worldview. They lie, cheat and steal. They condone minorities, gays or poor people stealing from other people or businesses. They are the extreamists.

The thing that is significant is...he is a top tier public figure with more cash than nearly anyone else in the world, and he is saying this aloud in the media for EVERYONE to hear.
THAT is what is important.

Good comment. I can scarcely believe that I, although always socially conservative, many years ago was nonetheless fiscally moderate and very globalist. Then, alarmed by the staggering advances of leftist insanity (and also by RINO treachery), I evolved into a far right paleoconservative.
