I judged that the words were a little too big for him.
Interesting observations all.
Don’t forget the Wall Street hedge funds and IMF types making big bucks from Ukraine sovereign debt.
The Bismarck was tracked by a lender lease Catalina being flown by USN pilots. A USCG Cutter, flying the outsized neutrality US flag saw Bismarck after she had escaped the two RN cruisers which were shadowing her and sent her position and course th Atlantic Fleet which forwarded to RN. These USN efforts were part of FDR’ efforts to support the British war effort.
On the Other hand,
This is an excellent article, and states facts clearly.
We are officially at war with Russia, with all that this means.
Well. I’m 40 miles from a major city now. I have some supplies and the means to defend them. I just might make it, as long as we don’t have a FULL nuclear exchange with Russia.
Recently, there was some message that took over my cell phone. It was about some traffic issue. I suspect they were simply testing the “Missiles Are Inbound” system.
In a war economy, even the old can participate.
Get your affairs in order.
A forward operating base out in the middle of nowhere isn’t US soil by the author’s implied meaning - now go sign up in the LGBTUKRAINIAN army. Put away the ladies underwear you usually mince around in and go get ‘em tiger.
People are going along with it because they have never experienced any negative effects of a war. They are going to be in for a suprise, when prices for gas and utilities continue to rise and food is rationed.
:)
Or when they suddenly feel the need for Sun Tan lotion with an SPF of a billion.
how this has played out on FR is probably an excellent example of mass formation for us as we are so familiar with the local territory here.
it is quite possible we started shipping the minute this stuff started.
there was a freeper within days of the invasion starting that commented that they had just seen a huge military train going east, (had never seen one before at all).
“Under that logic we should have attacked Russia and China for sending arms to North Vietnam and North Korea.”
Yes.
Not to mention Afghanistan and Iraq and so many others.
But the US chose not to do so. The people in charge then must have come to the conclusion it was not in our interests to do so.
The so called “laws of war” say we could have done so legally.
Laws of war. A joke for the stupid and naive. The laws of war are whatever the winner says they were. If not yet written, they’ll pull a Nuremberg and write a whole new cannon...just for the occasion.
“Mushrooms”???

Denninger is a polymath with an IQ of 187.
You are a troll.
Well the democrats need a war in order to escape Durahm. Anyone ever think about that?
Russian MANPADs range in age from the '70s (like the 9K32 Strela-2) to 2014 (the 9K333 Verba).
Their TM-89 anti-tank mines were first publicly introduced in 1993.
Their Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled howitzer was first introduced in 2015.
Their newest Tornado MRL (multiple rocket launcher) was first unveiled in 2007 and went into service in 2014.
Their replacement of the Tochka ballistic missiles is the Iskander, which went into service on 2006.
The newest battle tank (the T-90) was first introduced in 1992, and has gone through updates three times (in 2004, 2016, and 2017).
This also isn't counting all of their electronic warfare vehicles, plus their unmanned aerial vehicles like the Orion, the Korsar, and the Orlan-10 (all put into service since 2010).
This is all just from their Ground Forces. Their Air Force has also introduced new fighter jets and rotorcraft since the beginning of the 21st century.
In summary: the assumption that any developed country (much less Russia) has no military weapons less than four decades old is likely to be wrong.
Agreed. And we’re idiots for it.
