Iran's Ayatollah Posts Video Saying 'Death to America' Is One of Regimes 'Main Slogans'

Exclusive: On April 1, 2022, the official website of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Khamenei.ir, posted a video titled, “Is the slogan ‘Death to America’ rational?” The answer the video provides is yes. Ironically, the Ayatollah’s video bashes the US for being murderous, oppressive toward (foreign) women, and racist; meanwhile, Iran’s government is a major state sponsor of terrorism, has harshly-enforced laws specifically oppressive toward women, and constantly posts anti-Semitic hate. While the American government has certainly done some truly terrible things, “Death to America,” however rationalized (and the Ayatollah tried to tweak the obvious meaning), is a wicked, bloodthirsty slogan and Iran is one of the most violent, prejudiced, murderous governments in the world.

While some of the accusations in the video are in fact accurate (such as the accusation that the US government violates the rights of its own people and the fact that some Americans have indeed committed bad deeds in other countries), the accusations are wildly ironic considering who is making them. For example, Iran aggressively supports the “Palestinians,” who are ruled by various terrorist groups and unjustly lay claim to the legitimate nation of Israel.

The Khamenei.ir video included a clip from the Ayatollah’s 2015 speech in which he claimed, “It is clear that ‘Death to America’ does not mean death to the American nation. The American nation is like any other nation. The slogan ‘Death to America’ means death to American policies, death to American arrogance. This slogan has a rational basis.” But since the Ayatollah’s own Twitter account has explicitly called for the deaths of American “politicians,” including (as I said above) Donald Trump and Mike Pompeo, I doubt that “Death to America” means only death to “policies.”

The Khamenei.ir video ended:

“The Islamic Revolution of Iran took place in February 1979. From its inception to the present day, this Revolution has made the slogan, ‘Death to America’ one of its main slogans.”

And yet the Biden regime is trying its best to pander to terrorist-supporting Iran. Talk about suicidal.
