(CNN)The House Select Committee investigating January 6 will seek an interview with conservative activist Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, according to multiple sources familiar with the investigation. Most members of the House select committee investigating January 6 -- including chair Bennie Thompson and vice chair Liz Cheney -- believe the panel should interview her, CNN reported earlier Monday. The committee has had ongoing discussions about Ginni Thomas, and CNN reported last week that it has in its possession 29 text messages that show her pleading with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to continue the fight to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

Thomas, a conservative activist, recently revealed that she attended the pro-Trump rally that preceded the US Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, but says she "played no role" in planning the events of that day.

Does this Star Chamber/Inquisition have a fixed life span, or can they continue to waste our money on it ad infinitum, ad nauseum?

A legislative committee does not have criminal investigative powers.

Period.

15 months from inception in October 2021... that is, it expires when this Congress goes out of session...

She has every legal right to urge somebody to legally contest an election. And Congress has no constitutional right to compel her to testify.

Just a reminder there was a coup d'etat on January 6 2021. That is the only day states are able to question other states of their vote. Up-until that date no state can question the others votes. Theoretically that can mean a state could submit a trillion votes and they can recount it all they want until January 6 and 7th.

The system was hijacked and the operatives are still holding offices.

As I recall 40 R’s “retired” in 2018. The D’s won everyone of those seats. IMHO 2018 was just a rehearsal for 2020.

“A huge number of GOP incumbents (rinos) retired, helping rats win in contested districts.”

That right there was testament to how sure the RINOs were that the Deep State was going to produce the goods on Trump.

They jumped ship because they had never had a fighter at the top of the ticket.

Losers doing what they do best, helping both the party and our nation lose.

We are fast reaching the point in this country that any dissent from the official orthodoxy will land you in jail.
If a trial is allowed, it will be a Soviet era show trial.

Maybe, I should have said, a January 6 type show trial.

The problem with 2018 and 2020 is that many of the first time voters who helped to elect Trump in 2016 stayed home. There were also a bunch of idiots who stayed home because the were “trusting the plan”.

The revolutionary tribunals have just begun, IMHO.

But Robespierre when to the National Haircut himself, in the end.

Trump got 11 million more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016. 74m vs 63m. Where did those come from?

Dems are placing all their bets for 2022 on Trump and 1/6. This is only going to remind everyone of what things were like under Trump before 1/6.
