“Ukraine is a Done Deal. It’s Flattened and They Lost” – Steve Harrigan from FOX News Upon Return from Ukraine

Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan returned from Ukraine with a grim message about the future of Ukraine, but also a prediction that the Russian people “are going to rise up” and overthrow Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I think Putin is being bled. And he will be bled for years and it will take years. Maybe the oligarchs who are making as much money will hurt. Maybe the Russian people will rise up,” said Harrigan on America’s Newsroom on Monday. “I think for me, Ukraine is a done deal. It’s flattened and they lost. But the next story, I think, is Russia. The Russian people are going to rise up and throw this guy out.”

I doubt that Russia will “lose” this war. I fear Murphy’s law may come into play. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. It will only take one error on someone’s part and all hell will break loose and more countries might become active participants. So, will Putin launch nukes then?

Why should the military turn guns on Putin? Do you think the next leader is going to be a liberal democrat? Both premises are preposterious.

Agreed. The American left’s sudden turn against Russia, which probably started a few years ago is perhaps a bit complex. I have a theory about it that is probably not popular with some on this forum but nevertheless it is what it is.

“Rupert Murdoc is conservative”

Nope. Never was. He was a huge supporter of Hillary and Obama. He also supported socialist parties in England and Australia, where he was born.

Go read about Murdoch and his long time life of supporting socialist and globalist views, including WEF.

Of course at the same time you’ve seen a portion of the American right turn Pro Russia. It’s all quite confusing

If Zelenskyy doesn’t make a deal soon, he’s going to end up losing everything east of the Dnieper River.

“People achieve something because they didn’t know it is impossible.”

Much like us in the 1700s when we seemingly had nothing going for us. Maybe it could be us in the near future, too, if we weren’t so soft and sorry.

So the world is going to let Putin have the Ukraine.

What the global economy lost:

Access to wheat
Access to the natural gas
Free access to the Black Sea

Is this what Russia wanted? Yes/No. Xi needs all of that for China. Food and energy.

Make no mistake regarding the Putin/Xi relationship. The global economy is literally changing and their side has chosen war to get what they want. War in which human lives matter very little.

The American left backs whomever they think will help them the most. Russia’s economy is about the size of Italy’s. China is their one true love now. China has been spreading around all the money we’ve been sending them in all the right places so they have legions of supporters and defenders, especially in Washington.

I will not be surprised if China makes a move on Russia. Vast areas of nothingness with unbelievable mineral wealth, and Russia just doesn’t have the wherewithal to resist.

“Rupert Murdoc is conservative”

From what I’ve read over the years, Murdoch was a bleeding-heart liberal — even socialist — always. He just saw the business opportunity in a media outlet with a conservative bent. And it worked for him.

The sons and their wives eventually took Fox where their liberal hearts were.

It is quite confusing. Just like everything else in the world today, to question the narrative is heresy. I suppose when you reject God, everything becomes a religion. Or is it that everything becomes a cult?

Easy to understand.

Putin, thug that he is, is a social conservative on moral issues...anti-gay. pro-church, but still a thug and authortarian.. The social conservatives here like that, and the left hates it.

That sounds more doable.

How about Russia redirecting its trade to Asia and making Europe bleed instead?
