No one—no one—wants war, with the resultant terrible destruction, loss of life, and mayhem it inevitably brings. But as I have written in previous essays, if you search for the profound cause for what has happened, it is not the invading Russians, it is not really the regime in Kiev, but rather it is the sponsoring apparatchiks in Foggy Bottom along the Potomac, in Brussels, and in the houses of Congress (the Lindsey Grahams and Roger Wickers who actually urge our potential use of nuclear weapons against Russia), and what Dr. Paul Craig Roberts calls the “pressitutes” in American media, from Fox News to MSNBC (which now are like an indistinguishable, foaming-at-the-mouth phalanx in their defense of the aggressive managerial world revolution).

Worth reading are the parts where he points to the fact that the largely Russian portions of the East of what became the Ukraine, and the Crimea, were administrative mistakes by Lenin, Stalin and Kruschev never intended to confer independent national legitimacy to places that had always been Russian.

Also emphasized is the efforts by our ruling elite neo-cons to throw Russia and the Russian people on the international scrap - heap, sort of like parts of the former Yogoslavia or Afghanistan, ignoring the geographic reality that it is a large area, and the political reality that the Russians are in many ways a very able and technologically advanced people who just happen to have the world's largest and most diverse nuclear stockpile.

It is no accident that the globalists incessantly invoke "democracy" in their sloganeering. That word is employed to mask their real agenda, which includes the END of traditional notions of representative government and national sovereignty in favor of a situation in which elections are for show and politicians are mere errand boys for whatever the unelected bureaucrats demand.

Even as "democracy" is shouted from the rooftops, the real agenda favors censorship, disarming the population, the marginalization and persecution (if necessary) of religion (notably Christianity), the erosion of the middle class, the elimination of privacy, the control of travel, and the erosion of the right to private property. A veneer of phony "diversity" will be created in order to mask the increasing regimentation and homogenization of society.

What I am is a realist who has studied Russian history and the relationship between Russia and Ukraine going back over 500 years. You should do the same and then you might understand exactly what is going on. It’s a Security issue with the Russians and always has been.
