China lifted all wheat import restrictions on Russia Thursday, the same day the U.S. and the U.K. announced the imposition of financial sanctions on Moscow in response to its invasion of Ukraine this week.

“Wheat from all of Russia’s producing regions will be cleared for export to China, provided they meet certain requirements,” China’s General Administration of Customs announced on February 24.

Long term, this will have an adverse impact on American agricultural interests.

Thanks Brandon. ☹️

“Looks like China is backing Russia’s play”

Yes, it does.

Biden excluded from the sanctions the 700,000 barrels of Russian oil the US imports daily so Biden is actually helping Russia fund the war with Ukraine.

Purin’s Russia and the CCP. Two peas in a pod. It’s a time for choosing for American conservatives. We must choose wisely.

Why did China have wheat import restrictions on Russia in the first place?

And farmers’ prices for seed, fuel, roundup, etc. have all tripled. It will be a make or break next few years for them.

Very true, not to mention computer chips in all the fancy new modern equipment.

BUT BUT, should global markets for basic foods (especially wheat) become disrupted then US farmers stand to gain a bunch. We could actually see a shift back to wheat somewhat from corn and soybeans.

Corn produces amazing amounts per acre, in my mind. It’s hard to turn away from that volume.

Thanks Brandon.

No, thanks free traitors. It was the free traitors on our side that turned the Chicoms into a super power and an economic power. That includes many Republicans, and many so-called Conservatives.

I remember how the free traitors laughed at us as we warned about the dangers of sending our money to a communist nation, and gave us their bogus reasons why this was a good thing. One even called me stupid for paying more for made in the USA.

No, Brandon is not the cause. His presidency is the result of our stupid decisions.

Fertilizer, too. It should be on the list. It’s a fossil fuel product, isn’t it?

“Corn produces amazing amounts per acre, in my mind. It’s hard to turn away from that volume.”

True, may spend some time comparing it to rice. Corn and it’s close cousin Maize/Milo/Sorghum are New World/Western Hemisphere giants. BUT it may be hard to wean much of the world from wheat and rice based cultural habits. I can see us going back to the 70’s when the USSR ran out of wheat and every acre in my small little part of the world was converted to wheat from milo, cotton and corn.
