I think that you are partially correct.
Will Russia invade? The did before and made Crimea part of Russia. Did Russia invade Georgia? Yes. Did Russian troops “stabilize” other former Soviet States or regions within former Soviet States? Yes again.
Russian leaders are not dumb. They invaded Crimea, but claimed it was not an invasion of Russian troops it was “little Green men without identification marks on their Russian uniforms.” And the world turned away and let it happen.
I think that this time there will be some political activity that invites Russian troops to help stabilized political unrest either in all of Ukraine or in the eastern portion of Ukraine and Russia will jump in and try to crush the Ukrainian military.
I also think that many countries don’t want to see this continuing military use by Russia. That is why so many countries are sending weapons to Ukraine. If Russia has to ship home enough body bags, it will discourage them from doing this kind of military invasion with other former Soviet States. The USSR is dead and it should stay that way.
My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine and to the Russian military cannon fodder.
LOL! Smart man! ....”
An old statistic joke is if you know absolutely nothing about the future, the chance that something will happen is 50%. The more you know about the even, the more the probability will move away from 50% in one direction or another.
Not just Sudetenland, but Rheinland and Czechoslovakia.

Here is from a Finnish military watcher Petri Mäkelä.

#Russia: 200 military trains, with the average military train being 57 cars would mean that they are transporting 100-140 battalions worth of equipment, men and supplies to #Belarus.
To achieve this with the present deployments to the Ukrainian border, reserves are needed. 1/2
Russia deploying 250-300k men to its western borders, without counting western MD VDV assets that would bump up the numbers by another 30k men, is a force that is both expensive and a serious overmatch to Ukrainian frontline assets. 2/2
“Germany will simply watch him do it and that’s that.”
It is never mentioned that the last “leader” of Germany was a frau communist in the old east German regime.
If anyone has watched the last year, or so in Russia, they’d find it a remarkable year.
They reburied the old Czar and his family in a national ceremony. The Grand Duke was married setting up the re-establishment of the monarchy in Russia. And that was nationally celebrated. The Russian Orthodox Church has re-established itself.
All of this is the opposite of what the communist regime was and stood for.
Some have said the Putin looks to re-establish all the former and become the controlling force in the background. I tend to agree. The man is a snake.
And pig face bidet and his cabal, the culmination of the mob in DC, are trying to save their cash cow in the Ukraine.
Thats what this is all about. One world government. Control.
And how has that worked out?
Wait for this, pray it does not happen :
Medical teams and field hospital have not so far been dispatched to the front line. Their deployment would offer a clear signal that President Vladimir Putin has ordered the Russian army to go forward and invade Ukraine
There are a lot of Russians living in Ukraine. Russia moving in there will be like when Hitler went into Austria. They will be welcomed by a lot of people.
Everybody to clear the street...
Crimea, home of their Black Sea naval base, is a vital strategic asset for the Russians. They will fight to retain it, and also reliable land access to it.

We should stay out.
The Russians are Coming. Its on Amazon now. Its a funny movie.
I think you’re right. Invited to come in and restore order like in Kazakhstan.
Thank you both! I had heard if the movie but have never seen! Looks like a lot of fun!
Is China invading Taiwan another deep state ploy? North Korea invading South Korea? And should we, the US, be isolationist?
They’ll take it over. Whether or not it will be a technical invasion who knows, but they will take it over.
Germany needs Russian fuel, Biden screwed the pooch on this one, and on the first day of his presidency.
Same generation here. Remember in Oct of 1962 my older brother telling dad, that it was useless to prepare a shelter. My dad said, I can’t just sit here and do nothing. The day before the critical hours my mom and dad contemplated keeping us home from school. They decided to send us but daddy told us all. If anything happens I will come and get you.
