Without approval of Americans through their representatives in Congress, the Biden team has formed the First Movers Coalition with the World Economic Forum. The effort includes major corporations such as Amazon, Apple, Bank of America, Boeing and others, who have pledged to *force* a demand for “green” products.

…the First Movers Coalition was created through a partnership between the U.S. State Department’s U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and the Office of Global Partnerships, and the World Economic Forum, in collaboration with the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Energy.

Plenty of Freepers are unfortunately onboard with subsidized EVs.
It’s not just about EV’s or climate change. Food supply, personal assets, abilities to contribute, age, race (yes I believe race will play into this ‘great reset) - even your desire to live.
The new slavery is here I believe, they just need the next crisis to implement it.

I’m as conservative as you can get, and I don’t see the problem with EV’s. It seems like some fantastic technology that has a better future than ICE’s.
As far as subsidies, the big US auto manufacturers have been subsidized for years, long before EV’s were a thing.
Buy an EV and the working men and women will subsidize YOU.

Yes, all of that is designed to transform America.
It isn’t just EVs, but when transportation depends on a reliable electric grid, the government will be in position to ration the juice to the Deplorables in small town and rural America.
I’m worried that Brandon is gonna shut down my gas furnace and I’ll be freezin with a heat pump.
