What inflation?
The US Senate on Tuesday afternoon voted 50-49 to raise the debt limit by $2.5 trillion.
Senator Lummis (R-WY) did not vote because he is currently sick and recovering in Wyoming.
The bill now heads to the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives where it is expected to pass.
50-49: Senate along party lines votes to increase the debt limit by $2.5T until 2023 to avert a default. Senator Lummis (R-WY), who is sick and is recovering in Wyoming, did not vote. Bill now heads to the House.

I am going to vote against every incumbent in whatever race.
“Earlier, Republicans agreed to a one-time exception to the filibuster, allowing the Democrats to pass the debt hike by a simple majority vote rather than meeting the 60-vote threshold”
Looks though Joe Manchin is finally going to be history in West Virginia.
He just chose the Beltway Swamp over his constituents.
“I am going to vote against every incumbent in whatever race.”
What if your Senator/Congressman voted against it?
Manchin and Sinema.
Total frauds.
Mitch is a total punk and a b***h.
Bawhaha...and you all thought Manchin was going to backstab his base. This rat POS along with McConnell NEED TO BE FIRED!!! I was right once again! The $$$$$$$$$$$ to Manchin overseas account has been deposited!!
Yeah, them too.
Which republican didn’t show up?
Lummis of Wyoming. Home sick.
Democrats first.
Good job Mitch.
I don’t understand.
Why didn’t the GOP vote with them? McConnell let it happen ergo the GOP WANTS this.
But suddenly mittens and the rinos want to disagree?
BS!
Yay! Now if we can get BBB the destruction of the dollar will be complete.
*Yet again
He’ll likely get re-elected because the liberal infested WV cities outnumber the decent ‘billies.
How about just the R's that have shown themselves to be Rino's by voting for the "one-time exception to the filibuster?
Mitch is their b****.
Best I see out of this is a trade off for the BBB bill.

No problemo. If Lummis had been there and voted against, resulting in a tie, Willie Brown’s old girlfriend would have carried the day for the Dims. And if someone on the Dim side wasn’t available, McConnell would gladly. provide the vote(s) needed. It’s all optics, narratives, and soundbites.
(But some of the yokels back home buy it.)
