Joe Scarborough's leftward lurch continues apace. We've reported Scarborough's support for a variety of liberal positions, with a particular emphasis on what the Democrats euphemistically call their "voting rights" bill. Last month, we documented Scarborough analogizing Republican opposition to the bill to George Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door.
On Thursday's Morning Joe, Scarborough took it a step further. He didn't merely urge Democrats to abolish the filibuster regarding "voting rights" [and "civil rights']. A seething Scarborough repeatedly insisted that there is "no excuse" for Democrats not doing so.

What a fake “republican” he must have been. It’s one thing to act all indignant about republicans because he hated Trump, but he now embraces the most far-left policies of the left. And a lot of republicans currently in office are just like him. The guy is bought and paid for either with money or Mika’s charms.
That Joe Scarborough is a real lady killer.
And when congress gets flipped maybe next year suddenly the filibuster returns as an important part of democracy.
Scarborough would be happy if the filibuster was eliminated. But he’d be even happier if Biden could simply rule by imperial decree. Just like in the Roman Empire. Right, Joe?

Scarborough would love living under a dictator (as long as they were Democrat) but would hate living under a dictator (if they were Republican).
He does not seem to realize that after the 2022 (and 2024) elections Republican may have control of Congress and the only weapon the Democrats would have would be the filibuster.
Question for Joe, if forcing this issue reason enough to allow Republicans to push through all their wild ideas? Think about.

GMTA! I’ve recently written something very much along similar lines:
“Question: we get that Scarborough hates Trump. For Joe, it’s Orange Man Bad to the max. But Trump’s no longer president. So what explains Scarborough twisting himself into knots to support and defend Biden and his hard-left agenda? Is there any Republican that Scarborough would support in 2024?”
