A New York Magazine writer tried to mock a family of 11 struggling with inflation because of their weekly purchase of 12 gallons of milk.
The mother of the big family, Krista Stotler said during a CNN interview that “‘A gallon of milk was $1.99. Now it’s $2.79. When you buy 12 gallons a week, times four weeks, that’s a lot of money.’” The Twitter Trends negatively portrayed the family’s purchase of 12 gallons: “A CNN segment analyzing 'how badly inflation is hitting the middle class' has some discussing why the family featured purchases 12 gallons of milk per week.” As Mediaite clearly explained concerning the eleven-member family, “each individual is drinking roughly a gallon of milk.” That context didn’t matter to leftist elitists on Twitter who attacked the family for allegedly being excessive. One of them was New York Magazine writer Jonathan Chait. Chait spewed on Twitter: “12 gallons of milk a week may sound like a lot, but they've actually had to cut out their milk baths on alternate days.”

I buy milk at Walmart, but I will check Aldi’s. Thanks.
I easily drink 2 gallons a week by myself. Milk is better than Gatorade when working in the heat.
They should get a cow.
re: ‘Mix powdered milk with water, then add add that to the regular milk.”
We did that 50/50 mix trick back when I was a kid in a family of six ... powdered milk by itself was a little gross ...
I would've agreed with you. The cost of living is high where I live in the NE.
I'm surprised to see GV milk is the same price in your state.
The toughest decision White liberal Elite Press toadies have had to deal with since inflation/Biden is their favorite brand of purses have gone from $8,000 to $11,000 and a “nice suit’ from $16,000 to $20,000.
You think there’s any chance in hell the bimbos and pretentious ‘men’ of MSNBE or New York’s literary world would understand concern over milk and gasoline dramatically increasing in price? Ha.
Not a chance they’d even notice.
A pox on democrat ‘elites’..
not at all Where have you been? Should have been pointing out the obvious for years.
Ask your momma if she really knows who is yours......
It sounds like you are biased against large families.
So will now the Indy 500 get rid of the tradition of the winner drinking milk after the race?
LOL. I have been. At least since the media started attacking POTUS Trump. It eventually gets repetitious so now I only point it out when there is some new and egregious dumba$$ comment made by an enemy commentator.
Remind me not to say anything stupid in your presence.
food stamps?
Well, here behind enemy lines in Maryland I think she would be getting about $1000 per month per child...
Plus special bonuses on birthdays and Christmas...
Also, she'd have no problem loading the 12-gallons of milk into her new beamer SUV...
Heck...
I drink/use 2.5 gallons a week and I'm an 87.9 year-old kid...
In addition, my wife (who comes from a family of 10 kids) uses almost another gallon-per-week in her cooking & baking...
It's amazing how good she can make dogfood taste with the proper use of milk... (We miss you Rush...)
Hee hee that was so clever...
Got much experience with baby daddies?
What do you care Mike? You seem to be doing pretty darn well as a software engineer with your half million dollar + house and property, new outdoor pool and a new Filipino family.
Your comments sound more like what I would expect to hear from CNN or a left wing gossip writer for the New York Magazine or a plain old elitist New Yorker who claims to be conservative.............
Nope, but you obviously do......
I know you are but what am I?
