No, my point was this $2,500 per family proposal was obtainable by most people who currently come here illegally and pay coyotes, which would flood our country.

Instead of having to brave the desert and being sexually assaulted by coyotes, for the same money they can just hop a plane, or hell, even a Greyhound bus and enter the country in safety and comfort, which would greatly increase the number coming in to possibly tens of millions per year.

But DACA, Dream Act, or whatever other amnesty that they come up with will turn illegals who came here via coyotes into potential citizens.

Thanks for the information on the EB-5 Visas. That is a great deal for a lot of productive people.

I considered Australia's deal, but it is not nearly as good. Invest $500K Australian, and get a visa only good for five years. An additional five years can be added, if you were a good little immigrant, and paid for all your own health care, privately.

I told Australians I understood why they were selling so much coal to China. They had to pay for the Muslim immigrants somehow... (it was a joke, but most did not laugh)

In the end, while I loved rural Australia and its people, the ever more tyrannical rule of the big city political machines in Australia convinced me the USA is the hill to fight and die on.

I agree. Proof that you are self sufficient, (not partaking of government largesse) $100,000 is good and have an American sponsor, and a lengthy waiting period with good behavior would be sufficient.
