That's what I would have told you the morning of January 6th as over 400K patriotic Americans gathered in DC for a speech from their president. If you had told me that morning that just hours later, these Americans would all be tarred and feathered as insurrectionists and lumped in with a few Far Left troublemakers at the Capitol Building, I might have said those exact words "Sorry, I can't see that happening."
As for these digital driver's licenses that will include vaccine status...sadly, I can now see that happening. And quicker than we think. After all, I almost lost my job just last week over this vaccine silliness and yet might still.

It’s allowing one to store their IDs digitally. Its not even mandatory. It’s NOT saying your DL will house your vaccine status. There is a strip (bar code) on many state DL licenses that can store some attribute data, but this isn’t it.
This is nothing more than a digital wallet.
The problem with Gateway Pundit is that they take something innocuous and turn it into something it’s not.
We don’t need a stinking drivers license. A copy of the Constitution covers it. Driving is as much a right as walking on your own two feet. Ask yourself if the framers would have accepted government authority over riding a horse.

I’m sorry, I’m as big on privacy and what not as it comes. But this “story”, and the way GP headlined it, is misleading. Frankly, I wish I could store everything digitally. I carry around my forms from the ATF because I own suppressors. What a pain that is. My “vax” card doesn’t even fit in my wallet right. Instead of carrying a physical card, you can just carry a digital version of that in your phone. GP seems to suggest your DL and your vax card are the same doc. Do you think the data from diriver licenses and covid cards will be able to be uploaded without using state approved and coordinated integrated software? Do you think we will potentially have 50 separate state software systems, or will they all be integrated into a nationally standaredized networked system overseen by the federal government?
Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell says “From a law enforcement perspective, it will allow a law enforcement officer approaching the car to interact via Bluetooth with that phone so that they can know exactly who they’re dealing with before they even get to the car. And I think that’s a great feature for law enforcement, and it would be able to be utilized for any lawful purchase that you could otherwise use a regular ID.”
Do you think there might be a possibility for the tracking of these "lawful purchases" mentioned in the above paragraph? What about my right to privacy? Who else will be in possession of these apparently government controlled bluetooth scanners that police will have at their disposal?

Missouri where I live is not on the list and would be one of the last to be on board.
There’s a bit of an issue here in the Ozarks. On 90% of the roads we drive and at 90% of houses, there is no cell signal. I don’t even own a cell phone because of that and the fact that on a good day, we might get that tiny little dot of one bar signal here at the house. Not good enough for a call but will work for text eventually though even that might require standing outside holding the phone just right.
