Many many Japanese war criminals escaped retribution. The allies decided not to prosecute for political reasons. A lot of German scientists and doctors escaped hanging as well. Some German war criminals like Werner von Braun even became famous and respected later. The US Govt hid their crimes for decades.

Herbert Walker Bush was almost captured on that island. His group of Avengers ran out of gas and had to ditch near the island. He went the other direction and was picked up. But many of the others were picked up and eventually executed by sword, some eaten.

It’s really just a “This Day in History” site with a different twist.

When you think about it, the macabre nature of it might attract teenagers and they might actually learn history.

Tachibana had beheaded his victim before the feast. Human flesh, he had boasted to his men, toughened him up, making him ‘strong for battle’.

He should be placed on a deserted island with crabs.
No tools no supplies. The crabs nipping at him all the time. He would be eaten alive in no time : )

The Japanese never received as much “credit” as they should have for WW2 atrocities IMHO.
