It’s unconscionable that Congress is in recess while Marines are being slaughtered, and American citizens are being stranded in a city, and country that was deliberately turned over to the enemy.
You and I have very different definitions of what an American is.
You seem to think that anyone who holds an American passport is American, whereas I believe loyalty and love of country are also required. Gaining a passport under false pretenses does not make one American, any more than participating in voter fraud makes those votes legitimate.
Spending the vast majority of your time in the foreign country of birth you hail from, not holding a job in the U.S., not being fluent in English, not holding our values, and collecting welfare benefits, makes your loyalty highly questionable.

Neither of the lines in your response make any sense, but you think these folks are from Texas? I can assure you, they're not. If there's one Texas born American citizen in Kabul, they're infants or children who've spent the vast majority of their lives in Afghanistan.
I wouldn't risk ONE American life to rescue any or all of them.
You may hold a different opinion, but I wouldn't want to defend it.
We are LITERALLY doing that right now at both Dulles and Philadelphia International Airport. Look, maybe you don't believe anything in the news, but I've seen it first hand. It IS happening.
There was something going around yesterday about some former SF guy who drove a few hundred people her supposedly rescued up to the gate and got turned away. But Tweets supposedly from mil guys on the ground said they were all Afghans, and only four of them had SIVs and even those looked sketchy. Were those Tweets fake? Was the whole story bullshit? Who the hell knows? So again, I don't know what's really going on there - the whole show's hyper-politicized and solid, verifiable facts are nearly impossible to come by at this point.
As time progresses we'll get a clearer picture. Until then, I'm out - I'm getting too pissed off about things that may or may not be true regarding this mess.
One thing I find highly suspect: With supposedly hundreds, if not a thousand, Americans abandoned in AFG, why have we not heard hundreds of specific pleas from them via FB, TikTok, Twitter and the like? Why aren't their parents, husbands, wives, friends and other relatives in the US wall-to-wall on both social media and TV begging for assistance? How is that possible? Decent mobile internet exists in all the major AFG cities, especially in the Kabul area.
That is until the Communist Chinese move in.

I do not agree at all with bringing Afghans to America, FYI. I think they should be taken safely to other countries in the ME, their homelands, and live to fight another day to take back their country.

So we may agree on that but there are American citizens from America stranded behind enemy lines. You just have to know that is true.

These statements I can certainly agree with. I think the idea that they'd one day return, is optimistic, but optimisim is crucial.
I do wonder why Pakistan and Iran don't welcome them... nah, they obviously know something many of us don't.
How long before Biden & others are prosecuted for dereliction of duty; failure to uphold oaths of office?
