The chaos in Afghanistan could have reportedly been avoided altogether if President Joe Biden had accepted the Taliban’s initial offer for the U.S. to have full control of Kabul and the airport.

According to a report from the Washington Post, as the Taliban began taking control of Afghanistan, senior U.S. military leaders met with Taliban political leader Abdul Ghani Baradar in Doha, Qatar, where an offer was made for the United States to have control of Kabul until all U.S. troops had withdrawn; the offer was declined.

I’m calling BS on this.

They would not have offered anything. They have no reason to.

If this is proven to be true, Biden’s head belongs on a pike.
(Even more than already)

To be fair..they could have had an outrageous list of demands that had to be met...but it is interesting that WAPO is running with this..unless, of course, WAPO is being the CIA mouthpiece and CIA is had decided enough is enough

Has talibon Joe offered a lucrative ambassadorship position to hunter yet?

Will hunter be appointed head imam at the local art museum in kabul?

Kabul is a city of 4 million. You can’t just drop in the 82nd airborne and “control” something like that.

We might learn later today if this is true, depending on how much media coverage to Kabul there is, given now Biden Junta has Ida as another national crisis.

If we didn’t evac, we had Bagram and the Afghani Army still intact. We could have gotten our people out, most equipment and destroyed the remaining equipment. Then we could get our troops out.
This is the greatest modern day cluster-f in American history.

It is so bad, you can’t help go down conspiracy rabbit holes. Was it really a mistake to leave weapons and money for the Taliban?

Yes. Our govt is all about CYA. International community is not going to just let this slide. They can’t in terms of their own people.

US has proven to be untrustworthy. I am sure there are a lot of phone calls behind the scenes about how Biden in not mentally fit to run the US

I think almost every decision is deliberate, with the outcome being intended.
Kabul
Energy
Southern border
Unvetted Afghani savages coming to America
Inflation
Mandatory vaccines
Creating a dichotomy within our citizens politically
Dehumanization via masking
Destruction of small businesses via lockdowns
etc.

They would only offer Braindead 10% of the heroin yield as a kickback for the foreign aid they’ll get after we’re gone.

Why did the State Department abandon the 1 Billion dollar embassy / fortress? The Russian and Chinese Embassies are still open. - Wait It’s because Biden said we wouldn’t have images of helicopters taking off from the embassy like in Saigon. sorry Ho Chi Minh City. But once again, if the Taliban was going to be the “legitimate government, then wouldn’t we have an embassy there. To look after US interests and to aid US citizens in time of trouble. Not to run away in the night like the CRAVEN COWARDS OF FOGGY BOTTOM that they appear to be.

They would not have offered anything. They have no reason to.

Some people in Washington DC believe the present Taliban are different from those 20 years ago. The thinking is, they are somewhat more worldly and international, have been pressured by the USA and the international community to keep Arab terrorists out, want to rule a stable country and are looking forward to business deals with China. Thus, they can be bargained with

Certainly that is how Biden and his generals are behaving. Only time will tell.
