Or consider the Soviet Union. All through the '80s all we heard was that they had more tanks than us, more missiles, better this, more of that. We should offer concessions fast, we had no chance! And yet by the end of the decade (when they had existed for just about 70 years) they collapsed altogether and ceased to exist.
Note: Communist China is about 75 years old now. There are cracks in their society, deep ones. They live in interesting times. We'll see what happens.
There is some some truth to this.
Foreigners: In this case ABC’s (American Born Chinese) and their parents, who fled NYC, LA and London. They went back to China taking the variant with them.
Then when Covid, Beta-Epsilon-Tau variant springs up in Beijing, they’ll high-tail it back to NYC, LA, and London so that spread it there because they’ll already have it when they leave.
If China really wants to stop this, they need to quarantine all arrivals like HK, or go full Sweden. Otherwise this will never end.
The REAL hope is: Could it end the AMERICAN communist parties???
The Delta variant (B.1.617.2) could be awful in China because of Chinese citizens suffering from decades of bad air quality and way too much cigarette smoking.
He has been told to expect a lengthy recovery.
I still have suspicions that this is a regular flu virus - but regardless, it is a serious bug.
It’s serious for some people, not even noticeable in others, like all viruses.
As for the flu, I think you’re probably right…the only thing that can account for the total “disappearance” of the flu virus last year was that they weren’t looking for it and also that any case with those symptoms was counted as covid. Furthermore it is perfectly possible to have both at once, that is, to be dying of the flu (for which you were not tested) but have tested positive for Covid (which you may have but not be dying of). That’s the only thing that would explain why we went from thousands and thousands of flu deaths (basically the number attributed to Covid) to literally something under 2000.
It’s scientifically impossible, and one of the reasons nobody trusts “scientists” on anything anymore is that their statistics have become nothing but strategic manipulation to advance a political narrative.
They don’t care about real prevention of a real disease and they certainly don’t care about treatment.

I’m kind of more concerned with the rising American Communist Party to be honest.
