Restoring Trump may start with decertifying one "elected" 2020 U.S. Senator
Dr. Franklin | July 20, 2021 | Dr. Franklin

Challenges to the presidential electors for GA, MI, NV, and WI all failed when the House members making the objections failed to gain the support of a single U.S. Senator. Together these states comprised 48 EV, which was more than enough to flip the election result. But what if a duly elected U.S. Senator was unable to participate in that process because a fraudulent pretender was wrongfully certified in his/her place? Would that make the entire Jan. 6-7th certification of Joe and Ho's "victory" null and void in either a quo warranto action, or reopening of that certification by Congress?

So we’re expected to live with fraud as the rats destroy the US? If fraud and cheating are accepted because there’s not a known way to overturn the fraud that makes it acceptable? What kind of example is this ?? If there’s no way to overturn fraud then it’s time to figure out what needs to be done because THIS WILL NOT BE THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENS! Escpecially if it gets waved off ..what a crock.

Pence is a very good man who doesn’t have the fortitude to be in an executive position at a time when the Communists mount ferocious daily attacks.

I believe that the courts are reluctant to step in. Thus, quo warranto is not likely to be in play UNTIL a legislature decertifies their state’s election.

Just my opinion.

We are now in uncharted waters.

Sadly David Perdue is only marginally better than a Democrat. He would no more challenge the electoral college than the man in the moon.

I would love to see it happen, but ...

... you would rather discourage any further thought of how it could be accomplished without my thoughts

Then through at least early 2023, he will be dealing with a hostile Congress that will block his every move and impede him as much as possible.

You're neither a chess player or strategist, because you obviously are too lazy to contemplate removing the most recently elected Democrats (and RINOs) by quo warranto due to UNLAWFUL elections. So all your pessimistic wool-gathering has no basis, does it?

In other words, if we don't fix the 2020 elections, the Republic is over.

Yep. Anything else ids just wishful thinking. You are only fooling yourself. And to date, nothing meaningful has been done. Expect weeping and wailing be the Democrats like the World has never seen should an honest election plan ever be devised. >

State attempts to reign in permanent Senators and Congresscritters via term limits and recall have been struck down by federal courts in the past.

Clearly you missed the removal of Congress persons by quo warranto in the past. Fraud vitiates everything. Congress critters elected with UNLAWFUL elections have no Constitutional 'right' to their seats in Congress, and your fantasies don't accommodate this landscape. And yes, this is based on the probability that election fraud can, and has already been presented.

Who in the world thinks that a Democrat controlled House or Senate is going to revoke recognition of a member allied to them? It won’t happen no matter how strongly you can prove the seat was awarded fraudulently. Outside of the legislative body ejecting them there is no legal mechanism or provision for removing someone from the legislature before the end of their term.

I absolutely believe that these audits are necessary, should go forward and will prove fraud occurred. But to think that a single Democrat will be unseated before the 2022 elections because of it is incredibly stupid, naïve and delusional. The best outcome we can get is strengthening the election laws and enforcement and removing corrupt election officials so we can have cleaner elections going forward.

It’s sad because my dad was a marine and had no problem with people having what ever guns they want and never worried about things like covid or bird flus. In the last few years as he has gotten older and now worries about covid (even though he already had it and then took the vaccine) and is asking me what I think about gun control. He now is not having a problem with them taking war type weapons. He is quoting things you hear on the nightly news. I asked him what changed and he wants the bad people to not have them. I just laughed and said the bad guys aren’t going to give up their guns so if you take them it will only be from people that use them for the right reasons. He just said we have to do something. His views are out of fear of the BS being pumped on the news. Trying to get him to watch a different station. Newsmax or OAN.

Pence had no authority to do any such thing. As the presiding officer in a joint session of Congress he had no authority to do anything unilaterally except cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate.

Wrong. Your opinion only, based on your assumptions and not grounded in any factual evidence.

Also helps the enemy when you keep repeating it.

Trump had constitutional scholars advising him on this point, and it is clear that the position of President of the Senate is absolutely discretionary or they would not have specified it.

It is not a formality. It is not a kabuki dance.

As are your posts on the subject.

Trump had constitutional scholars advising him on this point, and it is clear that the position of President of the Senate is absolutely discretionary or they would not have specified it.

Other Constitutional scholars disagreed.

This whole “Restore Trump” idea is probably a Trojan Horse idea being floated around to try to make Conservatives look like fools. Let’s be clear that Trump has zero chance of becoming President until Jan 20, 2025. Our Founding Fathers were awesome to give is the Electoral College as a means to ensure that the chaos we often see happen in other political contests (such as State Governor) doesn’t happen with the Presidency. I hope that FR participants still stand by the Constitution, especially now as many powerful people work to bend it so badly. What we need to do is focus our efforts on ensuring that Elections have integrity and the National Debt stops growing & gets reduced.

Most naive thing i've read in weeks.

If you don't fix election fraud, you fix nothing, and especially not debt.

I thought I had read that Congresscritter \Senators had been removed in the past. I couldn't verify the details, so I assumed I misremembered & misread it.

Notice how I ignored your gratuitous insult and answered you civilly ! So why don't you take your fantasies and do something with them too !

Another point that needs to be made is that restoring Trump at this point, even if the GOP had the backbone to do the right thing, is not necessarily the best outcome for us.

I think that if China attacks Taiwan, your argument will turn out to be quite wrong.

The chances of China attacking Taiwan are greatly enhanced with Joe the idiot pretending to be in charge.

Almost certainly since nothing in the Constitution supports it.

Given your expertise in constitutional matters, I was wondering if you could possibly point out to me where in the constitution it creates a right to abortion and homosexual marriage?

I don't recall reading any of that in there.

Taking your point seriously for a minute - suppose this Congress were to enter into joint session and did in fact

1) Agree to reopen the matter of the electoral votes; and
2) Received objections from a House Member and a US Senator; and therefore
3) Undertook to rule on the objections

How long would it take this Congress (in seconds, or minutes if you prefer) to dismiss the objections and recertify Biden and Harris?

EXCEPT, if it can be shown that one (or more) of the senate seats was wrongfully awarded. At the state level, they have the power to de-certify, and THAT would be impossible for the media to ignore.
