no noted shortages...yet
We have filled all of our tanks.
Here in Texas it got up to $2.85 a gallon.
No one is panicking but the gasoline lines at Sams are longer than usual.
I agree. The “shortages” screed smells like MSM panic porn.
But if they repeat the lie enough... people will be out hoarding gas like a few months ago....then there will be shortages.
Try here https://www.gasbuddy.com/ Click on ‘find gas’ then make your choice of location. Gas is about 50 cents cheaper in Carson City NV than it is in Reno. Go figure. Almost a dollar less in Vegas.
It's an app called "Gas Buddy." Download it to your phone.
just gassed up $2.98 Hobe Sound, Fl
Have never used this app (no cellphone) but hear it advised all the time on local talk radio.

Anybody use it ? Reviews?
I passed a station on the way home a few minutes ago (Knoxville Tn) and regular was $2.81/gallon. Haven’t heard any outage or shortage reports yet.
Dad says a (D) repeat of the Carter years.
$ 2.85 in Tucson for regular.
I just gassed up at Murphy’s for $2.76.
Up 7 cents from this past Sunday. Now at 3.13 for regular
Filled up today at Costco in Arlington, Tx, for $2.64 per gallon.
Don’t let it run almost to empty before going to the gas station, folks. I go fill up when it gets down to half a tank.
PING!
Just use GasBuddy and its map.
It’s $2.70 at the Texarkana Sam’s Club.
So Cal Lake Elsinore Costco, 3.92 (4.29 across the street), 2 days ago - no shortages
taxes go up July 1 (state tax 51.1 cents, plus sales tax 2.25%). Tax increase is tied to a 2017 roads and bridges bill that automatically increases each year (with little to no accountability for where the funds go)
local news video shows sampling of bay area gas prices as of 6/30:

Update:
I was listening to a webinar for a trading class. The instructor stated that from what he has heard, there is not a fuel supply shortage.
The issue is a shortage of truck drivers...Last year many retired or went on to do something else during the COVID shutdowns, and the truck driving schools were shut down creating a a shortage of drivers...He had heard Columbus, OH, area was having issues with supply as well as states of Colorado and Iowa(why?).
But for most part, gas is available. I.e., don’t panic—if don’t find gas at one station, go to another. Though demand is high, there is gas—just hard getting it to all that need it...
He also said AAA predicting a 17% increase in number of people traveling over the normal holiday travelers...in part due to people preferring to drive rather than fly.
I recommend Gas Buddy ..a free app for your phone that gives you prices and locations of gas stations. Price information is supplied by Gas Buddy members.
A year ago the US was energy independent for the first time in decades. I wonder if all those hate Trumpers are having Biden remorse when they fill their cars with gas?
