Possible Relocation to Ashville, NC. for 30 yo daughter Any thoughts appreciated.
If she is looking for a simp husband that is probably a good place to go. If she doesn’t want a husband, I am sure they have plenty of places that have boxes of wine and shelters with cats available.
She loves the Southeast and the mountains, but it is not a husband, wine or cats that would compel her move...
It is a career opportunity.
Asheville is very liberal, but the surrounding area is nice. My wife and I will be relocating to NC (VERY red Currituck County) next year.
I don’t know where you live now.......but western NC is a lovely, beautiful area!
There are plenty of small mountain towns to live in within driving distance of Asheville
......and the folks are generally conservative, Bible believing......salt of the earth, old fashion, very moral
Depends what she does for work, and how she thinks.
If she’s quite conservative and wants to get into the energy sector for big salaries etc, then Grande Prairie, Alberta is good, or if she wants to farm and ranch, can do that all over. Basically need more info heh.
Biden won the whole county, 59.9% to Trump’s 38.7%
Ha...
Outside of Ashville, I have heard it is quite conservative and beautiful country.
If you like what NYC has become, I’d say go to Asheville, because it’s a much prettier path to Hell on Earth.

Well put!
If shes a commie, she’ll fit right in!
NC is a “shall issue” state for concealed carry, but requires a safety and training course. Just add it to the list with drivers license and registration, water and power, Internet and any professional licenses, and mail forwarding.
Thoughts isn’t spelled that 🙄😑🤨 Thats my contribution for the day. Im embarrassed by how dumb this nation is becoming. Learn to spell 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🙊🙉🙈
Yep. Nice job. However, she’d be on her own and she has concerns about safety, cost of living, etc. Given the current political and economic climate, timing and location may not be good fit...
Thoughts isn’t spelled thot
Asheville is attractive, culturally active, and very liberal in the downtown section. Unfortunately, those well-off areas in the center of the city are right beside some patches which are very rough — think of them as a concrete jungle — and living on any frontier is dangerous.
Great community, fun town, a blue spot in NC.
Artsy liberal. Good restaurants.
Hi.
Nice area in the mountains of NC. ASU is a nice little liberal school. Sylvan is where most of the liberal scum reside.
Mild winters and summers. Close to both lakes and rivers. Good hunting, especially white tail and turkey.
I don’t hunt bears, but bears hunt you. Black bear. Plentiful.
Need a car. Preferably a Jeep.
Housing prices are starting to go through the roof. Amongst other things.
Collowee is nice too. Spent some good hunting seasons there.
Good luck.

It’s Brooklyn with 🌲 trees 🌳
One good thing about Asheville, is that CCW is legal there.
> Burglaries and home invasions? <
Re my post #15, yes.
Quick story: A niece of mine took a job in a big city right after college. I told her not to rent a basement or a first floor apartment.
She took my advice. And good that she did. The first floor apartment that she was considering was later burglarized..
