AM talk radio is dead.
Lonsberry has been moving left for quite a while. He had a snippet on a month ago stating that Ashli Babbit was not a patriot but a criminal. Disgusting!
He also suggested that the RINOs should have come up with an ALTERNATIVE to Obozocare while they had the chance and that neither President Trump nor the vapid GOP did anything.
I shot back with an email saying they should have repealed it lock stock and barrel not try anything “new and improved.”
We get Bongino in Rush’s spot here in Northern Nevada.
This show doesn’t work. Travis yaps and yaps. Spent a lot of time bragging that he didn’t get vaccinated, who gives a sh—? Will not waste time on listening about their polls, with 3 1/2 years to go.
Also, the Rush clips I've heard remain relevant and should stand the test of time.
It is important to illustrate that the crap this country is going through was foreseeable.
It isn't by accident that it remains the EIB Network.
Whenever I watch or listen to Bongino, I feel like I’m being yelled at.
Totally agree. I tuned in for a few minutes. Good explanation of the USSC/NCAA case, but still, didn’t like two. I do like the Phoenix afternoon two, Hunter & Russell, but that’s the only duo I care for.
Wasn’t a Buck Sexton fan anyway.
This article could be rewritten in the same manner as it applies to Jeopardy.
Every single guest host has tried their best to be an Alex Trebek wannabe.
Rush is dead. Alex is dead. Move on.
I thought the show mostly went well.
I disagree with this author. I thought they were faster and more entertaining than just about any fill-in I’ve heard so far. Mark Steyn can be funny when he goes off on one of his rants, but he is slow when he has a whole show. That goes for radio as well as when he is on fox.
I think Clay is a little nervous. He doesn’t actually sound nervous, but I can tell he was definitely not letting his true personality rip. He will get better once the newness tension wares off and the producers don’t try to control the exact script.
I was surprised but pleased that my local AM station, which carried Rush’s show, has switched to Charlie Kirk in that time spot instead of Clay and Buck.
Clay and Buck....sounds like a sportsman’s store, or magazine.
Here in eastern Oklahoma we got a cat named Mark Kaye(sp?), syndicated out of Florida.
More like a political comedy show... Mark is a witty dude and all that but his female producer who shares the mic with him much like whatshername and Hannity, is insufferable. At random times in the show she pops up and says “WHERE ARE THOSE PICKLES?”
Very stupid. They’re trying too hard, actually.
Not much alternative except the classical music on the University of Tulsa radio station, which is kinda hard to pick up way up here near the MO AR OK border.
Lonsberry is right, Rush was like, say, Michael Jordan. Someone takes his place but no one replaces him. The best thing everyone else can do is to be themselves, and let the chips fall where they will.
Bongino is on in the 12-3 PM EST time slot in at least 3 big markets (WMAL/Baltimore-DC, WLS/Chicago, KABC/LA). What “big rig” are these 2 guys driving?
Nobody can be "like" Rush, so stop trying, just be yourselves and sink or swim.
Glen Beck live precedes the old Rush time slot. I need a different radio in my office. The analog tuned FM radio has been set in one spot for 20 years. No longer.
Dan’s the man...IMHO
If they’re going to use Rush’s show opener song, then they need to also wait until the “right time” to start talking, like Rush did. Clay (or Buck) started talking TOO SOON both yesterday and today. Yes, I know that’s nit-picky, but it’s a THING.
The nit picking on this thread is ridiculous. If you don’t like what you’re hearing, turn the damn dial. They are NOT Rush, Rush is dead, get over it or go to a place where you can hear all the Rush audio all damn day, all you want. This is a new era, get over yourselves. Life goes on, either go with it, or go somewhere else. Leave these guys alone. The whining on this thread and the other thread is embarrassing. SMH.
B-O-R-I-N-G!
In our market, we now have Dana Loesch. Boring as well. Going to give Dennis Prager a try. If not him, then maybe I'm just done with 12-3 talk radio.
And, nobody else could do what RUSH did, including these guys. The tonight show a.k.a. Late Night TV died after Johnny Carson, and talk radio died after RUSH. Woodstock died after Woodstock. It's time for someone to emerge in a different arena, and someone will.
