WHAT HOMELESSNESS AND CLIMATE CHANGE HAVE IN COMMON

You can find synoptic leftists who say that climate change requires solving every other social problem in human history, but there is in fact a lesson to be drawn between the explosion of homelessness over the last few years and the renewable energy mania proffered as a solution to climate change.

Let’s start with this NPR (NPR!!) report on the $1 billion Los Angeles is spending on homelessness, with no apparent effect on actually reducing homelessness:

The high public cost of LA’s first sanctioned campground — more than $2,600 per tent, per month — has advocates worried it will come at the expense of more permanent housing. [Emphasis added.]

What a minute—what? $2,600 per month, per tent?!?!

As the kids say, AYFKM!? Only government could spend more for tents than you’d have to pay for a rental apartment even in high-priced Los Angeles. You can shoplift ten tents from a store (without risk of prosecution in California right now) for that amount.

...what? $2,600 per month, per tent?

That's the gov't price. You'll find them on aisle 13, right between the $600 hammers and the $1850 toilet seats.

Yeah, well the explosion of homelessness has a different source. And an easily correctable one. The homeless are created by the viciously destructive “treatments” doled out by the Mental Health industry. Major tranquilizers and ECT create massive irreversible brain damage. This is not conjecture. It is a fully known inevitable result of these “treatments”. Once damaged in this fashion these people are no longer capable of functioning. You can thank the therapeutic state for the homeless explosion.

That’s [taps calculator] a wage of $10/hr for doing [checks notes] nothing.
Not a bad salary for someone disinterested in working and amenable to a simple life.

Add to that the incentive of higher pay for not working and what do you get? Answer: A bunch of brainless government bureaucrats patting themselves on the back for wasting taxpayer dollars.

Leftists need a crisis to make money. Notice, there is never a downside for leftists. Only for us law abiding conservatives who pay the increase in taxes. Here is the mode of operation…

1. Never let a crisis go to waste.
2. Use the crisis to justify government money
3. If no crisis, create.

They both show up in “news” reports whenever a Republican is in office.
