‘What’s on course to hit the U.S. starting this weekend looks BIG,” says electroverse.net. “It looks unprecedented.”
According to the latest GFS models (above) from May 6 through May 8, periodic pockets of out-of-season cold will bring temperature departures crashing down to some 8C to 16C below the seasonal average.
But it’s on Sunday, May 9 that the real problems are forecast to begin….
… From Montana to Virginia, temperatures are scheduled to plunge as much as 20C below the seasonal norm.
Then, from May 10 to May 12 (image below), a rare mid-spring freeze sinks south to engulf Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming.
“ May 13 is predicted to deliver an even harsher shot of polar cold to central and southern states, with huge departures from the norm.”
Along with the cold, record-annihilating snowfall is expected to drop down from Canada.
Global Warming?????
This sucks. PA just can’t get a normal warm spring. Damned global warming.
Nope. Climate change.
Maybe HAARP.
Might be raining things other than water/snow. Parts of Chinese Satellites come to mind.
Sunspots.
So many mid west gardens at risk. Millions of ‘em.

The Brood X cicadas who have been down under my trees for the past 17 years are getting impatient. They refuse to come up until the ground temperature reaches 65 degrees here in central Maryland.

Human carbon emissions can do one of two things: make it warmer or make it colder, depending upon the current forecast. You have to listen to the science, and science is screaming hysterically right now.
I think higher taxes and decreased industrialization within the US ought to stem this global horror.
Actually, it’s going to be nice weather in Texas next week. I’ll be in Denver. Nice there, too, so I dunno.
I live in Central New York State. We’ve had snow storms on Mother’s Day in the past. It’s no biggie.
It’s why when I moved from glamorous CA☺, I stayed in the sunbelt or southwest in my case. Maunder Minimum, or lack of sunspots, which emit all kinds of radiation which help warm the earth seems to be happening. This could go on for decades meaning longer, colder winters. Besides, the older I get, the less I like cold weather.☺
Global warming can cause global cooling. It’s science. C’mon man! I heard it on NBC news so I know its true.
Today, we wore jogging pants and have every window in our house closed.
It’s not as cold as up North, but today has been much cooler than normal. It’s a nice change.
No it would need to be China, that is where the real problem is.
Mini ice age....
” I’ll be in Denver. Nice there, too, so I dunno.”
It will be nice after Tues.....
