I’m freezing my arse off here near Canada.
We’re looking at mid 50’s and about 40 at night.
Not even much of a risk of fros.
But 20°C below average? That much? Did they maybe mean 20°F?
Dear Old Retired Army Guy,
All weather and climate shall her to after be referred to as “climate change.” It’s all bad and requires massive taxes and government control..
That is all.
When in PA never plant your tomatoes before Mother’s Day!
UGH!
In the 1860’s it snowed in June in New England.
Why?
Our global footprint was minimal back then.

Rain/snow Monday and Tuesday in Denver. 36 degrees for the low.

Found a cicada this morning in my backyard. (my dog tried to eat it.)
No cicada noise yet.
I kinda like that noise.
North Georgia has been absolutely chilly.
Latest acccumulating snowfall in Western and Central NY was 4” on May 11, 1996 (Mother’s Day)
Global cooling.
Burn more fossil fuels.
Twenty years ago, I got a job offer in Corning, NY. I interviewed there in late April and got hit with a blizzard during my interview trip. I spent five years as a kid in nearby Ithaca, NY and that brought back painful memories of shoveling the driveway and walk. That blizzard made me turn the job down and I stayed in California.
But look at the change from 5/18 to 5/19...brrr! A 24 degree drop in one day. At least there's a rebound the next day.
Allow me to be the first, CLIMATE EMERGENCY!!!, WE”RE ALL GUNNA DIE!!!
“Science” is always right. Always. “Scientists?” Questionable.
In the six county area north of the Gay Frisco, the wise and long time gardeners and people who trans plant tender plants into their gardens, like tomatoes never re plant the tender plants until May 15.
In fact the lady, who wins all types of awards for her tomatoes is known as our Tomato Queen. She will be delivering her valuable plants to her customers, this weekend with a warning, “Don’t transplant until 15 May.”!
Our former horse watering troughs are filled with new dirt and the watering system is ready for our tomato transplants on 15 May.
If people would pay attention to the best way to plant. No seeds in the ground until the night temperature is consistently in the 50s. That has not happened in Michigan yet. They get impatient and plant too soon.
Mini ice age....

Judgement.
It’s not going to get below freezing. It’s not really worth more than a local story. It’s not abnormal, or indicative of anything of significance.
