The decision to get a Covid vaccine is not “Republican” nor “Democrat.” And more importantly the divide is not along “Pro-Science” or “Anti-Vax.”
There are plenty of individuals who have no problem getting flu shots or wearing masks, but are holding off on getting a Covid shot. There are parents who may get the Covid shot for themselves, but don’t want it for their children. Those who have had Covid already, may want to be vaccinated, but with an adjusted dose of antibodies, etc...
Most patients, before getting a prescription or even an OTC med like Tylenol, are given proper warning against contraindications, pre-existing conditions to be mindful of before starting a regimen...Or on a positive note: the additional benefits of the drug that might go beyond its main intent... (Example: Aspirin can treat pain AND help prevent heart attacks.)
Knowing that even the most extreme of adverse reactions are possible even with common drugs, does not preclude the vast majority of people from still taking them— but at least they are informed! So that they can make a decision based in their own risk/benefit analysis. And not FORCED into a corner one way or the other.
By contrast with these Covid shots, the media and medical establishment act more concerned with denying ANY link to contraindications, than to properly inform the public of the full scope of possibilities as evidence emerges in real time. And by relegating even the slightest concern to “anti vax” conspiracy, they remove themselves from any form of accountability in the process. To treat you accordingly, to warn you, to prepare for more people with similar outcomes. And most importantly: to improve the vaccines themselves!
And that is a problem. Especially if you or a loved one find yourself in that 5-10% who have more than a sore arm to contend with following your shot. Or end up with a bad case of Covid itself anyway.
That’s the worst part of it all: this underlying presumption that vaccines are the end all, be all in our arsenal to defeat Covid. Where does that leave the breakthrough cases? Why limit the treatment options?

What are the long term (5+ year) risks of the vaccine?
In the interview with Dr McCullough, he gives the name of the group (tech, media, etc) that is working to suppress any information about the adverse effects of these shots.
You can throw in there a few other “side issues”, e.g. even before the vaccines came out they were talking about how we may need booster shots. Then a couple weeks ago both Pfizer and Moderna said “you will need a 3rd shot in 6 months and another shot every year thereafter”.
So what’s up with that? Are these vaccines just weak brew? Is it really about “fighting variants”? Or is it just a case of biotech CEOs behaving like Big Tobacco? “Smoking relaxes you. There is no proof it causes cancer. Buy more”.
I agree. We also should think about whether we want to be encouraging, through our cooperation, the likely production of even more medical products relying on aborted tissue. I can just hear it now - “You didn’t mind taking the Covid-19 shot in 2021 when you knew its development was dependent on the use aborted human tissue, so what is your problem with our newest product now?”

True, but the two mRNA vaccines are 100% effective 90% of the time. And the lack of a group getting the vaccine (i.e, they received the placebo) is 0% effective 100% of the time. Both of those figures are derived from comparisons of COVID-19 diseases occurring in trial participants receiving actual vaccines against participants receiving placebos in the same large scale DOUBLE-BLINDED trials.
Do you comprehend and accept those figures? They are FACTUAL.

The media coverage of the virus and vaccine is indeed biased garbage and hurts our efforts to act responsibly.
For example, the media made a big issue last week or so of models that predicted a boom in cases this month... didn’t happen.

Trying to label people as anti-vaxxer because they object to an experimental vaccine is disingenuous.
SOmeone I don't follow who a podcast asked the question "Should the young be vaccinated?" and quoted VAERS data. The MSM locked arms and shouted down his reputation.
Vaccine hounds demanding that those who make their own medical decisions should be 'shunned.'
Fauci is compromised as is the CDC, but somehow it's unpatriotic not to obey them? The CDC's biggest donor is Bill Gates, but how dare we say 'no' to the organization Bill Gates funds?
That is a fair point, but it’s also true that the “anti-vax” crowd has gone all-in with the ‘Rona vaccines.
That makes it almost impossible to have a productive discussion about these particular shots. There are legitimate questions that can, and should be asked, and the garbage media refuse to give those questions a fair airing.
What I really don’t understand is the recent divide on FR between the pro vax and vaccine sceptics regarding therapeutics. If one is pro-vax, one must for some reason be anti-therapeutic, and vice-verse. To me that just seems insane: we need both. And not everyone will choose to get the jab, and it’s critical that we retain the individual’s right in that regard.

I think the need for boosters is based on both the mutation rate and the general lack of long term human human immunity to coronaviruses as seen in various cold viruses.
Plus they don’t know what they don’t know. This coupled with the bureaucratic risk aversion is how we’ve ended up with these stupidly excessive “abundance of caution” masks and lockdowns.
I’ve gotten quite sanguine with the doom Karens. Fauci has pretty much been wrong about everything since the 80’s. He’s unlikely to start being correct now.

As for the boosters, I just don’t know. I have some educated guesses. Maybe because of mutations, but then they really should be a little more upfront about it instead of letting drug company CEOs disclose it. I also suspect the possibility that because mRNA vaccines have been a 15 year disaster, that whatever concoction they have come up with is incredibly weak stuff in order to not kill we humans the way they killed rats, rabbits and chimps in all the previous iterations - and hence the need for 2 shots instead of just one. But just guesses. I really don’t know, and don’t like that they don’t tell us.

mRNA vaccines were a disaster under Fauci, because he is an incompetent scientist and researcher. For the past 15 years, he’s been picking and choosing what to fund and he sucks at it.
To Trumps everlasting credit, he cut that munchkin out of the decision loop and we now have working vaccines.
