Sen. Tim Scott’s Speech Reveals Republicans Weakness.
Thy Black Man ^ | May 1, 2021 | Raynard Jackson

Posted on 05/01/2021 2:54:20 PM PDT by Lordjazz

Why am I seemingly the only one that is pissed off at the lack of preparation for the aftermath of Sen. Tim Scott’s rebuttal to President Biden’s speech before a joint session of Congress this week?

Where was the RNC, the Senatorial Committee, the House Campaign Committee, and outside conservative groups?

Where were all the supposed Black conservatives who like running their mouths on all the talking heads TV and radio shows?

I was disgusted and thoroughly embarrassed by the lack of a coordinated media strategy to support Sen. Scott.  Scott is the junior senator from South Carolina who was asked by the party to give the rebuttal to Biden’s speech earlier this week and by most accounts, hit it out of the ballpark!

The most memorable part of his speech was: “…Hear me clearly:  America is not a racist country.  It’s backwards to fight discrimination with different types of discrimination.  And it’s wrong to try to use our painful past to dishonestly shut down debates in the present.”

The Democrats have not changed their racist playbook since the 1960s.  No one in our party thought to set up a communications war room to insulate Sen. Scott from the inevitable attacks that were sure to come. This inevitable attack on Sen. Scott was so obvious that even Stevie Wonder saw it coming!

This is what happens when you don’t see and understand the value of diversity.  Yes, you need Blacks who understand our community, understand politics, and understand strategic communications.  And yes, they MUST be “credible” Blacks; not the buffoonish Blacks conservatives seem drawn to.

There should have been an inside/outside strategy to push back on the racist attacks Scott was subjected to.

This guy thinks a lot of himself. He doesn’t name the black conservatives he considers “buffoonish.”

It’s a fair point, but the Republican Party is pretty much leaderless at the moment. Mitch McConnell is thankfully retiring so he’s all about taking maximum financial advantage in his remaining time. Meaning the Senate Republicans are stupid to keep a lame duck senator who refused to work with our last president.

So Senator Tim Scott said America is not racist. But racist Democrats proved they are racists.

Has this guy been living under a rock. The media won’t cover anything from the organizations he is complaining about. The ONLY reason they even carried Tim Scott’s speech was because they practically had to.

There are a lot of stupid Republicans, not just in the Congress. There were as many stupid rank and file Republicans attacking Tim Scott after his speech as there were Democrats doing so.

Trump got knocked out. So the Republican Party is leaderless at the moment.

Michael Steele, for one. At least that would be one that qualified in my opinion.

hard to have a coordinated anything when you have about 3 shows for conservatives. The left controls the narrative and only invites week Rs.

Bingo.

The Democrats racist reaction testifies how effective and threatening Scott’s rebuttal is to them. A black man saying that America is not racist is a stake through their progressive hearts.

Mitch McConnell called him “the future of the Republican party”.

I puked.

It’s not quite Dr. Tongue’s 3D House of Pancakes, but it’s a nice respite from gloomy news.
