Satiria, DC: — Bernie Madoff, mastermind of the biggest investment fraud in U.S. history, convicted of ripping off tens of thousands of people of as much as $65 billion has died in prison. He was 82.
The news came as a shock to the Biden Administration who reportedly just days before had settled on a plan to pardon Madoff to head up the Social Security Administration.
With the U.S. deficit swelling over the past six months to $1.7 trillion, and the United States spending nearly $660 billion more than it collected in March alone, the maneuver had been considered vital to keep the nation afloat as the United States continues to provide financial support to American workers and businesses while the country digs out of the financial crisis caused by the Corona virus pandemic.
The announcement of Maddof’s release and appointment to head the SSA had been delayed over internal dissensions from those who considered the scandal in which Madoff was convicted too controversial.
White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, when confronted about the rumors swirling of Madoff’s proposed pardon and appointment would neither deny or affirm the validity of the plan, only adding that there was, “nothing that a pardon could not have remedied”, and that, “It doesn't matter now”.
When pressed further by a White House press corps reporter, Psaki dismissed the criticism as partisan, but then went on to cite Madoff’s experience as a primary reason for why such a consideration would be justified.
“No one, and I mean, no one, had more expertise or understood the U. S. system better than Madoff—I think he certainly had the criminal record to prove that!”
Obviously agitated by the questions, Psaki continued by pointing out how that Madoff was able to keep his organization afloat for a very long time, relying solely on the money of investors without their suspicion.
“Imagine what Madoff could have done in a system where he would have had access to an unlimited supply of dollars and everything is perfectly legal. No other prospect has worked a system so extensively that has so much in common with the way social security works; any differences that existed between Madoff’s organization and the government's would have actually worked in Madoff’s favor. It is a sad day for the country; Madoff’s passing is a great loss for all those who are completely dependent upon the system”, Psaki stated.
Yeah... Babylon Bee could’ve done this story much better.
Not a bad idea, though
Timing.
(On second thought, perhaps Nadler would be better suited to join the department of "Consumer Affairs", which Nadler displays a broad background in.) (He's always consuming something.)
I did that and got jumped for not marking postings as satire. Got a lot of responses to fake articles that were close enough to be considered true.
The site doesn’t identify itself as satire. This can’t be true can it?
The guy ran a huge Ponzi scheme. Biden would have wanted to use him for further Ponzi-ism. And the Social Security Administration would be a very good place.
LOL
So now he has to give account to his Maker.
As will we all.
bkmk
From what we know, when audited, more than likely his books were in the red.
Good.
I hope he enjoys it.
