Why Isn’t Everyone in Florida Dead, or in the Hospital?

Even though Florida has been wide open for almost a year now (without mask mandates); even though Florida has millions of retired senior citizens; Florida still has less deaths and hospitalizations than any of the know-it-all liberal lockdown states run by authoritarian Democrat Governors. Florida’s numbers are better than New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Michigan, Illinois, or any other deep blue state.

Yes, Florida has less death and hospitalizations, AND the people of Florida kept their businesses open; kept their jobs; the kids all went to school; people kept on living their normal lives.

My friends own restaurants in Florida. Restaurants and bars are jammed. No one is wearing masks once inside. They tell me not only are the customers healthy, all their employees are healthy.

How is this possible? How can Florida be thriving and prospering, completely open for business, with all the kids in school, while California and New York were shut down for the entire time, businesses dead, jobs gone, schools closed, kids not learning a thing…yet the people of Florida are healthier?

20+ States no longer require a mask. Aren’t they all dead yet?

The biggest thing liberals want is for people not to fear the boogie man they created.

Why aren’t the homeless all dead?

Why aren’t the junkies all dead?

Why aren’t the slums of India and Africa all dead?

Because it is a scam of a bad flu.

Well I live in Florida and everyone is on unemployment....with the extra 400$ you make more money at home..

Every fast food place and all the stores need help...

You have to call ahead to restaurants and fast food places to see if dinning is open.

If people do not show up or quit they will just do take out

None of this had anything to do with the Flu, there are ulterior motives behind shutting the World down over a Virus with Over a 99% survival Rate

As usual, government was wrong. Government made things much worse. As usual, liberal Democrat ideas failed miserably. Lockdowns are perhaps the worst mistake in America’s history.

************

This is because decisions by governments are almost always made on the basis of power and political factors instead of rational social and economic ones. Politicians ONLY do things that are in their own interest.

The State may loosen up on mask protocols, but your local Karens, Councils, etc. will happily keep a boot on your neck.

Ask Karen if she is ready to shoot you? If she does not pull a pistol tell her go fornicate herself with aside brush. If she draws a piece, consider putting on a mask.

Easy answer… Because Republicans control that state, not Democrats.

Herd immunity is a reality even without a vaccine.

All you do with shutting businesses down, social distancing, mask, quarantine requirements, is to slow it down, but it will not stop until a certain percentage has been exposed, with or without masks.

Much of what was done doesn’t even remotely make sense. It was political “grandstanding”, “showing action in crisis.” What was the logic behind closing public beaches or pools? None. What sense did Quomo make requiring senior living homes to accept Covid positive folks back in? None. In fact, just generally accepted as fact and true, but with little to no science to back it, not even masks are likely effective and now we suddenly change the social distancing requirements when we want to reopen schools? Science, really? Turns out 2% of all transmissions are in restaurants! So what did we accomplish by ruining tens of thousands of small businesses?

There is a HUGE political component to this.

***The only effective action taken (of all the things done), was the rapid development/fielding of the vaccine. That is it.

Everything else was a show, like when Fauci shows up with two masks, or Biden appeared on the campaign trail with extra large masks so everyone can see he wears one.

You need to realize, and this is important, you have to get folks to participate in the fix. You have to make them part of the “solution” and allow them the feeling as if they have control over the situation. From BS recycling programs that allow you to save the planet, Obama’s cry for everyone to inflate their tires when asked about his energy policy, to silly masks that likely got more people pneumonia breathing through a filthy cloth or paper by Biden. These are gestures to make you feel like you can do something, and of course Obama or a Biden will lead you there.

All this really showed is how dumb and compliant the American public is.

My niece lives in FT. Pierce, FL and she emailed me some pix of her and her family eating at one of my favorite seaside Restaurants, "Sharky's" a gin joint with great food.

No mask, reminded me of past times.

I spent over 30 Christmas Holidays in FL when my brother and brother in law were both alive.

Great times, surf fishing, deep sea fishing, golfing, eating snook {next to walleye, my favorite eating fish} cooked on the beach, and we all drank a few beverages.

I love Florida and if Mrs. Alaska ever agrees to sell this house, we'll be there in a heart beat.

We just spent 2 weeks in Florida maskless and on the beach with hundreds of others. It was a glorious vitamin “sea” experience
