White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday said coal and natural gas – NOT frozen wind turbines – caused the power grid failure in this week’s Texas cold snap.
Texas got hit with a rare cold snap that spanned to the southern part of the state and the power grids gave out.
.... Snip....
Millions of Texans suffered blackouts partly due to the frozen wind turbines.
Psaki said reports suggesting renewables caused the power grid failure in Texas are inaccurate, rather it was renewables that came in to save the day.
“Numerous reports show that it was failure in coal and natural gas that contributed to the state’s power shortages,” Psaki said.

LMAOGTFO!
I just love going up to the White House Youtube page every few days and thumbs-downing every video I have not already given a thumbs-down on. LMAO.
They can lie with impunity because the Ministry of Propaganda will never say they are lying.
So our White House has now taken to just blatantly lying to us now
So you think she will outlast Senile Joe.
I’m surprised she didn’t blame Trump.
The coal and gas pollution restrictions in place by our government, that would have been caused by Texas firing its boilers to create electricity while all the solar panels and wind mills were iced over is the actual culprit.
So who is behind this propaganda?
obama.
Psaki,AOC, and the rest of the Democrat party are pathological liars who are a clear and present danger to the nation.
At least we have them surrounded, it will make holding the tribunals for treason that much easier.
1. Natural Gas Well freeze-offs; gas flow blockages resulting from water vapor freezing in the gas stream (reduced fuel supply at source)
2. Frozen components at some natural gas-fired power plants, forcing operators to shut down. (reduced generation)
3. The changeover from Natural Gas compressors to electric motor compressors, used to transport the gas over long distances. As power capacity is reduced, the NG fuel supply to power plants is starved (transporting the fuel supply).
Look these things up for yourself if in doubt.
Democrat.....Liberal.....stupidity caused it.
They had to have their way, like the babies that they are.
This country was fine until we started appeasing the Liberals....the Democrats.
See what appeasement got us.
And have backup in case any of those thing fail.
I must object, you are being too kind. This is not ignorance. This is deliberate lying. Just like they did in Nov.
The Tx power handling outfit (ERCOT), like the pack of dweebs we have out here in Ca, encouraged “renewable energy alternatives” since they were cheaper because every US citizen was subsidizing them. So, no baseline power plants. So, when the “REA” crap out like every engineer (and smart Politico) in Tx told them would happen, the lights go out.
As to a rare temp drop. Not so rare. Don’t buy that lie, either. In the ten years I lived in Tx a long time ago, there were at least two times a “Blue Northern” blew in and dumped snow on the Gulf coast — far more south than the stupid windmills so beloved by Green New Deal dweebs. It’s called a “BLueNorthern” cause its like a dam broke somewhere in the midwest and all the cold Canadian air floods south. It is not a rare event if there is a name for it.
Big thanks for posting that article and keeping the record straight.
That’s an amazing article.
So, the short version is, she’s right.
I thot I heard TX governor recalling his troops to the state because of the Fed/Capitol boondogle.(?)
I think the Nat Guard hasn’t moved yet due to all the ice on the roads. Take a look at the map at drivetexas. Almost the whole state’s roads are frozen over.
If that ends up to be true, the only question will be if President Harris will allow her to serve out tne whole 90 days after the next transition of power.
They will keep Joe hanging on until they can’t hide it any more, then President-in-waiting Harris will ‘take over’...............
Oh, well, I guess I just want a balanced perspective on the causes of the TX outages. Please forgive my duh.
