Shouldn't the Democrats be in the catbird seat? After all, they've "won" the election, including the House, the Senate and the White House. Apparently, the country was just itching to become another California. And the courts, the big state, Hollywood, and the press are all on their side.
But somehow, even with President Trump silenced, impeached, and out of power, things aren't going so good for Democrats.
Impeachment is failing. The verdict will likely come today. Their aim was "political vengeance" as Trump's attorney said Friday, and the bid fell flat. Their spin, and lies, and low-grade informercial for themselves in this Senate impeachment trial persuaded no one. And their bigger aim, which was keeping President Trump from running for office, same as third-world dictators do to their opponents, backfired. Not only are they likely to see Trump again in 2024, their vile efforts to shut him down have come back to bite them. Trump's stature has risen from this attempted railroading, so the effort was a bust.
It gets worse. Now two of their fairest-haired boys, their pride and joy, the governors billed as the future of their party, are both going down like the Titanic.
First, New York's Emmy-award-winning COVID governor, Andrew Cuomo, who not too long ago was hailed as presidential material. Even the New York Times is covering it...
And as the cherry on top, his previously fawning media allies, are now calling him a "mini-Trump." He's finished.
The other one who's a goner is California's Gov. Gavin Newsom...

Not to mention the Dems’ “globull warming” is about to give warm Texas record low temperatures next week.
Andrew Cuomo had a bad week. The 15,000 nursing home residents who died due to his foolishness, had a bad end of life. The media will still protect him.
The media must be hounded for protecting Cuomo and for hiding the scandal. The media propaganda complex must be smashed if we are to improve as a nation.
Cuomo and his brother Fredo, must be forced from their positions.
Impeachers in Senate voted to call witnesses.
True but media is just like that boy with his finger in the hole in the dike, media may be able to plug it in for now but at some point it's going to burst.
I hope they subpoena everyone who was at the rally who heard Trump exhort his followers to march peacefully and make their voices heard.

Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, the Senate‘s second-ranking Republican, said Friday he’s open to censuring former President Donald Trump, as the impeachment trial of Mr. Trump nears a vote for acquittal.
“I’ve seen a couple of [censure] resolutions at least that I think could attract some support,” Mr. Thune said of his Republican colleagues.
Asked if that includes him, Mr. Thune replied, “Yes.”

If it were so obvious, why continue to argue the case?
Yep. I've known for a long time that the media is our biggest problem. We have a free press, but no where near a fair press.
While the GOP scum do nothing but pile on Trump. They are as disgusting as the Communist scum on the left. Washington is a cesspool.
They have the guilt we don’t.
And now a year later, they have “won” it all by their own hand and devices, but what have they actually won?
They took advantage of every crisis and even made them if no crisis was available when needed, like with the Russia hoax, with Ukraine and with the many Fauci moderated covid crisis opportunities.
From high and low places, they have continuously lied, impugned, slandered and destroyed, seemingly with no negative consequences, and now they have won it all ... right?
Maybe, maybe not. We’ll just have to wait and see, but I’m betting on delayed consequences finding them so that they can fully savor their “victory”.
There is a cycle to everything. Fate’s pendulum first swings one way and then the other, with a pause in between swings when it slows and stops before swinging back the other way again.
However ... by their actions, they’ve replaced Fate’s pendulum with the double-edged sword they’ve been using to obtain their victories.
“Live by the sword; die by the sword.” Now we wait and watch to see if they can tie Fate’s pendulum to a post again, before their double-edged sword swings for them.
They have made themselves obstacles to the Lord’s passage here in this nation, while paying homage to the enemy and fighting to establish the enemy’s agenda here and around the world, instead.
May God have mercy.

I don’t even need to read this ... the author has an astute command of the obvious.
The Dems are two weeks past peak Biden and utterly imploding, with so much of the damage self-inflicted. The only path for them is downward and fast.
President Trump’s unique skill as president involved serial high-impact, common sense remediations that claimed the high ground and in so doing put Dems ever in the position of defending the absurd. They did so and jumped the shark again and again and again.
Dems have been forced to suck up to China; open our borders wide; rejoin a wasteful and non-serious Paris Accord while canceling a brilliant, half-built oil pipeline; print ever more stimulus money; prop up the Dem governors of the US’ two (of three) largest states from epic incompetence; keep the impeachment disaster going as a distraction; and so forth.
They know that there is substance to Trump’s objections to November elections, so while they still have a monopoly over the narrative, they bring out a Time Magazine piece to say that these measures actually SAVED not STOLE the election. But in admitting and documenting the shenanigans they hand this issue back to Donald Trump, who will capitalize for sure.
I could go on. Biden just extended National Guard troops in Washington through the end of 2021. What possible upside could there be to this? He foolishly raised the prospect of limiting travel to Florida. What the heck? There is one unforced error after another after another.
We need to stop our primal anger and turn our attention to being ready as the Dems implode. Led by Trump and McConnell, the GOP needs to put forward broad visions on all policy matters rather than tactics like building a wall system. The latter is a means to some broader end ... which is ... what? High tariffs on China are also one part of the means to a larger end ... which is ... what? And so forth.
The GOP needs to invite Kasich, Romney, L. Cheney et al. to leave the party ... see ya! ... but we want to persuade all GOP voters — even the RINOS — to stay. Their votes will be needed. And we should be slow to throw out Nikki Haley, Lindsay Graham, Mitch McConnell and others who are good but not in our minds perfect. The invitation to leave should be rather short and the pleas to stay should be generous and “big tent.” And we should not be boycotting Hannity, Ingraham, Carlson, Bartiromo and others. Their voices are high-impact and desperately needed. And we need to stand by them.
Don’t get mad. Don’t get even. Choose instead to come out on top and to be generous and inclusive in the process.
I’m not quite as sanguine as the author but I do think that the “keep the Impeachment going forever” and “keep troops in the streets of DC forever” strategy is already a loser. The proggies are demanding radical legislative action that is being held up by this monomania and face mask fascism is creating an undercurrent of anger at its sheer abuse. Calls for “unity” are being seen for what they are: demands for obedience. None of this is going away soon.
Listen if you will never lie,
many of those who passed in nursing homes were on gub mint assistance of one kind or another.
Billions a year spent on folks who were no longer productive.
Cuomo and pals knew many would pass thus relieving N.Y. govt. of those expenses.
