Tuesday News Roundup: Kyrsten Sinema Might Save the Republic; NYTimes Goes Low on Pipelines

Fun Energy Fact of the Day. – Amy Harder at Axios reported yesterday that “Oil, natural gas and coal accounted for 81% of the world’s energy consumption in 1990. Thirty years later — in 2020 — that figure dropped to 80%, mainly because of the pandemic, according to the International Energy Agency.”

Remember also that that unchanged percentage comes after many trillions of dollars have been invested in capital and subsidies for wind and solar development globally.

Axios didn’t report this, but it is a reality that, 30 years from now, in 2050, most truly scholarly projections on global energy consumption see that percentage remaining largely unchanged. Though wind, solar and other alternative energy sources will continue to be subsidized with more and more trillions, they won’t be scalable enough to account for just the growth in energy demand over the next 30 years, much less start to displace the role fossil fuels and nuclear will continue to play in the world’s energy supply.

That’s reality. What you see in the corrupt news media and coming from politicians and the Global Church of Climate Change every day is fantasy.

This concludes your Fun Energy Fact of the Day.

Why bother cancelling the Keystone XL Pipeline when you can just blow it up? – That’s the question recently advocated by The New York Times. Not kidding.

To advance that idea, the Times recently provided its readers with a glowing review of a book titled “HOW TO BLOW UP A PIPELINE” by someone named Andreas Malm. I swear I do not make this stuff – who could?

Here’s an excerpt from that book review:

“To say that the signals have fallen on the deaf ears of the ruling classes of this world would be an understatement. If these classes ever had any senses, they have lost them all,” writes Malm, a Swedish professor of human ecology and climate change activist, in his compelling but frustrating treatise.

A proportionate and rational response, Malm argues, should be to target fossil fuel infrastructure: Destroy fences around a power plant; occupy pipeline routes, as protesters did for the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines; at coal mines or similar sites, set up climate camps, which Malm believes are effective as laboratories for activism and for shutting things down by putting bodies on the line.

He also advocates powerfully against despair and powerlessness. One of the most satisfying parts of his book comes when he brutally dispatches with “climate fatalists” like Jonathan Franzen, who argue that we should all just give up. “Climate fatalism is for those on top,” Malm writes. “Its sole contribution is spoilage.”

So Malm wants us to fight back (though I should add that there aren’t any actual instructions here about how to blow anything up).

[End]

Don’t blow me up, folks, I’m just the messenger.

Every time you get to thinking our corrupt, Nazi-style news media could not possibly get any worse than it already is, they go and prove you wrong.

Democrat definition of “Unity”: “You shut up and conform to my way of thinking.”

*sigh*

In Texas, this is what we call a smelly fresh load of horse manure:

Speaking of things you just could not ever make up if it wasn’t already reality… – Check this out:

That’s right: Anthony Fauci, the little menace to American society who has outright admitted to repeatedly lying to the American people in order to manipulate their behavior and government policy throughout this COVID-19 pandemic, is in fact the single most highly-compensated employee of the federal government.

From the story at JustTheNews.com:

Germs pay.

Dr. Anthony Fauci made $417,608 in 2019, according to Open the Books, a government watchdog group.

The annual salary for Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease, makes the highest paid doctor in the federal government and the highest paid out of all 4 million federal employees,” Forbes reported.

In fact, Fauci’s salary is more than the president of the United States’ annual $400,000 pay.

Fauci, now President Biden’s chief medical adviser, will make $2.5 million if he keeps his government job through 2024, which marks the end of the administration’s first term. The projected income does not factor in raises.

Forbes also reports Fauci made $3.6 million from 2010 to 2019. Since 2014, His pay increased from $335,000 to the current $417,608.

[End]

Holy crap.

Can Kyrsten Sinema save the Republic? – I know that sounds like just the most absurd question you’ve ever seen posed in your entire life, but bear with me here.

As we all know, one of the main goals of the radical left that forms the vast majority of the Democrat voter base now is to eliminate the senate filibuster, a move they consider to be the key facilitator to allow the passage of their full Marxist/fascist agenda into law. With a 50/50 split in Senate membership, the end of the filibuster would mean that Kamala Harris could provide the tie-breaking votes on all manner of radical legislation designed to destroy the very fabric of our nation and turn it into the collective utopia the deranged nitwits on the left have always dreamed of.

Flaccid West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin has already said he does not support ending the filibuster, but we have seen so many times that he holds no firm positions that Chuck Schumer cannot bully him into changing. Besides, a single Democrat dissenter can easily be offset by a RINO tag-team consisting of Mitt Romney, Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski on any given issue. Thus, Manchin’s tenuous posturing becomes essentially meaningless.

But yesterday, Manchin got himself a dancing partner in the Senior Senator from Arizona, Sen. Sinema. When the hacks at the Washington Post inquired about the Senator’s position on the filibuster, her spokesperson firmly replied “Kyrsten is against eliminating the filibuster, and she is not open to changing her mind about eliminating the filibuster.”

From a story at The Daily Caller:

Democratic Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema will not support eliminating the filibuster and her mind cannot be changed, according to a spokesperson.

As Democrats now control the House, Senate and White House, there has been discussion about possibly voting to eliminate the filibuster. Abolishing the filibuster would allow any legislation to pass with a simple majority. With Sinema coming out against abolishing the filibuster, it makes it highly unlikely it could happen, as Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin has also said he will not vote to do so.

“Kyrsten is against eliminating the filibuster, and she is not open to changing her mind about eliminating the filibuster,” a spokesperson for Sinema told the Washington Post on Monday.

[End]

Now, pessimists will no doubt contend that Sinema’s a Democrat, and all Democrat politicians are inveterate liars, a contention this is manifestly true. Democrat politicians have no choice but to lie on most issues since their positions on them have zero basis in truth, data or reality.

But Senator Sinema repeatedly proven to be a different kind of Democrat to some extent, and has become a sort of Tulsi Gabbard of the Senate, a leftwing Democrat who actually still loves the country and holds respect for its institutions, the rarest of rare animals in Washington, DC.

Who knows if Sinema will hold firm on her stance in the face will no doubt be a campaign of threats and intimidation to come from Chuck Schumer and the party’s lunatic leftist base. But this one bears watching and if she does continue to resist pressure, having support from a colleague might help Manchin grow a bit of a spine on the matter as well.

All we can do is hope.

That is all.

Sinema will always be there for Chuck Schumer on critical issues. This is just her way of garnering attention (hey, look at my boots!) and setting the stage to name her price. In the end, Sinema is a loyal Marxist/Democrat.

The pressure on her to conform will be tremendous. I remember at Trump’s first State of the Union when many of the new Dem congresswomen wore white to protest Trump. She didn’t. She has a rebel streak.

That bisexual ***ch just might save America. If so, DC and PR won’t become states, therefore “preserving” the balance of power. But let’s wait and see what happens first.

Call Senator Sinema's office and congratulate her on saving the Republic by upholding the Filibuster.

Agree. This is not the first time she’s gone against party lines. If not for her position on abortion, she would be okay. I believe she’s at least a person that tries to do what she believes is right (even if it’s wrong). She’s someone that is at least willing to listen to the other side.

Considering that Lin Wood, and his ‘conservative’ enablers, were SUCCESSFUL in handing the Senate to the Democrats, Sinema (and maybe Manchin) is all we have.

So deal with it.
