In his inaugural address, President-elect Joe Biden could announce that he is pardoning Donald Trump. It would raise a furor on the Left. But it would also allow Biden to declare that he is following through on his pledge to unite America.

Why does Trump need to be pardoned he’s done nothing wrong
A pardon for what?
That’s what I was thinking. Pardon for what??
If Biden did, that’d be enough for the Leftists to call for his immediate removal and immediate installing of Harris.
The imaginary crimes he will be followed with for the rest of his life. A pardon would quell the desire to pursue him him without cause. Make no mistake, they are going to make an example of DJT. The Deep State does not forget and they do not forgive.
Mr. Trump should not need to be pardoned for anything; operative phrase being “should not need to be”.
With these Dems, it is guaranteed they will find him ‘guilty’ of something. I would much prefer that Biden issue a pardon to Trump vs have Mr. Trump pursued relentlessly for the remainder of his life. You know the Democrats will obsessively do just that, seeing that no one in that party is saying ‘enough!’.
If installed, the first thing crazy joe will do is pardon himself!
Heck, Pres. Biden...oh, excuse me, Pres. Harris will probably get their buddies in the DOJ to issue an arrest warrent for him.
Kind of don’t think things will go quite the way many (esp. BiteOne and Heels-Up) think they’re going to go.
Which is why Biden's handlers, along with Harris, Schumer and Pelosi will argue, to whatever extent necessary, against a pardon.
Beat me to it
By that, I mean it may be BiteOne and his sidekick who will be in need of pardoning. :-)
“But it would also allow Biden to declare that he is following through on his pledge to unite America.”
Is this intended to be serious?
It won’t make a hill of difference what Biden projects regarding Trump.....the leftists will not get a free pass by faking niceties....anymore than Pelosi selling now the release of stimulas as Joes after SHE held it up for 8 months.
Well technically speaking just because you’ve done nothing wrong doesn’t mean you might not need a pardon. People are charged and convicted of things they didn’t do all the time.
I’m not sure that there will be any prosecutions or investigations against Trump anyway. They threatened this to This kind of thing against Bush, but it never happened. It would just hamper their own agenda.
Would a pardon require an admission of guilt to be effective and/or does accepting the pardon tacitly imply an admission of guilt?
