There are are a lot of gun owners in NY state

Sure.

And so far they've stopped lootings, burnings, cop-killings, civilian-killings, ruination of large swaths of the greatest commercial districts in the world, sky-rocketing crime rates, lock-downs, shut-downs, and ongoing lunacy from the fascist governor and the communist mayor.

Don't kid yourself.

***The Australian gun control effort***

Australia and New Zealand were singing a different song when they saw a Japanese Armada off their coasts in 1941.

Same for Britain after they destroyed most of the guns in England, then were faced with a Nazi invasion after Dunkirk. Remember the adds...”PLEASE SEND A GUN TO DEFEND A BRITISH HOME!”

Britain claimed, around 1920, that they needed to confiscate the guns because of “crime”. It was actually a fear of a socialist takeover.

When the British tried it.

When the Red Coats seized guns..
https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/opinions/1995/05/31/when-the-redcoats-confiscated-guns/e38d0810-af85-4949-8d93-3da746601e65/

The Post’s May 9 news analysis on militias and America’s revolutionary heritage quotes colonial historian Rosemarie Zagarri as stating that the British “didn’t try to disarm” the Americans and never “prohibited the colonists from bearing or owning arms.” Reality was quite the contrary, as I have documented in my 1989 book “A Right to Bear Arms” and in a University of Dayton Law Review article, “Encroachments of the Crown on the Liberty of the Subject: Pre-Revolutionary Origins of the Second Amendment” (Fall 1989).

As British troops sailed to Boston in 1768, the Boston Gazette reported that the ministry commanded things “more grievous to the people, than any thing hitherto made known,” the first of which was “that the inhabitants of this Province are to be disarmed.” By 1774, the British were routinely conducting warrantless searches and seizures of firearms in the Boston area, leading the Gazette to exclaim that “what most irritated the people next to seizing their arms and ammunition” was the arrest of patriot political leaders. King George III ordered the seizure of any firearms imported into the colonies.

Just after the Redcoats’ attempt to seize the arms of the rebel militia at Lexington and Concord in 1775, Gen. Thomas Gage ordered all the inhabitants of Boston to turn in their arms at Faneuil Hall for temporary safekeeping. When the people complied, troops seized the firearms, never to return them. A patriot poet described Gen. Gage’s order as saying:

That whosoe’er keeps gun or pistol,

I’ll spoil the motion of his systole.

“The Declaration of Causes of Taking Up Arms” passed by the Continental Congress cited Gen. Gage’s perfidy in seizing the Bostonians’ arms. The arms seizures were a major cause of the Revolution. STEPHEN P. HALBROOK Fairfax

Certainly you would have guns remain in society for a long time, but the point is, without gun manufacturers or ammunition makers the supply of guns, parts and ammunition would be greatly reduced....for most people which is the aim....

what would happen is in addition to the drugs the cartels from mexico are smuggling across the border, they would add weapons to the mix and it would be hugely profitable..

Just like during prohibition....

The words of the Texas Declaration of Independence ring loud.

“It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.”

Where are the weapons associated with these purchases?”

"No idea--I purchased said ammo for resale at local gun shows. I sold out, using cash transactions."

Outside of the city is different.

I believe you, as far as that goes.

All I know for sure is that nearly everyone, almost everywhere, has caved and cried and run for cover.

A limitless gubmint is a frightening thing...just ask any cuban or venezuelan.

“They have truck mounted wall penetrating detectors that can see through you, much more, they can see exactly where your guns are. I’d give them 3 weeks, after outlawing guns, to have every single piece of heavy metal, especially in suburbia, they’ll leave the ghettos for last.”

Everyone needs to have a personal plan of action for the first day that occurs.

First of all.......all of the armor vehicles in the world are not going to protect the occupants. They MUST get out of said vehicle to serve warrants, make arrest, etc.

Second, why wait for them to come to you? GO TO THEM. Form up, go seek the ones trying to remove your rights.
That way, the event(s) happen when you want them to.

True,

Politicians and government agencies love “emergencies.”

It allows you to bypass all the checks and balances in government, existing policies, regulations or procedures and ignore civil rights while pretending to be a hero to the masses because “you took action in crises.”

Emergencies allowed Cesar to become the emperor, it put Hitler in office, it allowed for a Patriot Act, or shutting down private businesses and threatening them, implementing curfews etc. because of this Corona virus or whatever you want to call it. “Emergencies” are very convenient at times, and when you don’t have one, you can always make one up, like the ozone hole or global warming.

In todays age, we simply go from one emergency to the next. We are ALWAYS in a state of emergency according to those that want to grab power and make rules by decree rather than letting democracy, a rule of law, and sound open discourse in the public sphere shape things.

"Gun Confiscation is Impossible in America"

While we are at it, let us list some other "impossibilities"

  1. The government authorizing the murder of unborn children;
  2. The destruction of America's public school system;
  3. The American flag becoming an accepted symbol of hate;
  4. Men allowed to use women's bathrooms;
  5. Men allowed to use women's shower rooms;
  6. Men allowed to compete in women's sports;
  7. The CPUSA's published goals being accepted by one of the political parties;
  8. Statues of the Nation's historical heroes being torn down in disgrace;
  9. Rioting, burning, violence, and destruction becoming an accepted form of protest;
  10. A foreign born communist becoming president of the United States;
  11. Thought control becoming a standard form of governmental control; and,
  12. A national election stolen by the combined efforts of the communist party and a foreign power...

Just to mention a few...

President Kamala will just have to make examples of all of them. She is just the kind of ruthless tyrant Obama and the Marxists needed to “get real” on gun owners. We already know the FBI and ATF has enough blood thirsty thugs to do exactly as they are ordered.

In the socialist state of colorado you are supposed to get a background check when purchasing a weapon. There are some exemptions.
