FALSE: MLG’s office claims lines of people waiting outside of grocery stores just GOP ‘talking points’ (NM RadDem governor dictatorial edicts)
The Pinon Post ^ | November 24, 2020 | John Block

Posted on 11/24/2020 8:17:53 AM PST by CedarDave

On Sunday [November 22], Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s office claimed that people being forced to stand in long lines outside of “essential businesses” such as Walmart, Albertsons, Costco, and other locations due to her public health orders restricting grocery stores were just “Republican talking points” that were “politically motivated.”

The Associated Press reported, “More than 20 essential businesses across the state were shut down as of Friday, of which nearly half were grocery stores or major retailers. The closures include two Walmarts in Albuquerque, a Walmart in Santa Fe, a Target in Santa Fe, and an Albertson’s in Roswell.” The shortage is causing a backlog at other grocery stores, which are limited by how many people can be inside at any current time. This is forcing New Mexicans to stand in lines outside for up to two hours.

The Governor’s office further claimed, “The state is not forcing anyone to stand in a crowded line, as you suggest.” These claims were untrue and easily disprovable

However, the Governor’s office is dead wrong. Below are countless examples of places across New Mexico where citizens were forced to stand in long lines. Upon the news that limits of 75 people inside each store, retailers pre-emptively began limiting capacities to begin compliance with the mandate. Below is photographic proof of the lines across the state:

November 22, 2020: 3:06 p.m. at Walmart in Clovis, New Mexico. The person who submitted these photographs writes, “It’s freezing down here and there are tons of senior citizens who have to stand in line to get their scripts filled. She’s killing us.”

Dozens of photos at the link.

As of yesterday evening there were four Albertson's Supermarkets closed in the state and five Walmart Supercenters closed in New Mexico. There are another 276 businesses on the NMED watch list*. Those that are still open are limited to 75 persons per store or 25% capacity, whichever is less (75 people only in a big box store with many thousands of square feet will definitely ensure social distancing except around the toilet paper shelves and at checkout.)

Communism and people forced to stand in long lines go together.

Just in time for Thanksgiving. Discussed this morning with others from NM, one had to opt for a ham from a local small grocery as he was unwilling to stand in line for hours at Costco for a preferred meal.

I posted the below on the Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread:

Let me share with you how bad it is in New Mexico. We needed a permit for a project scheduled to start next Monday (11/30). I submitted the permit applicatioon on November 9 with two-week turnaround the norm for a non-controversial permit. The state agency issued an email stating that they were shutting down for two weeks until the beginning of December and would not review or issue any permits until then. My 100K project just got stopped for at least to mid-December. Below is what I wrote to my out of state clients when I had to notify them:

... this governor's draconian stay at home lockdown requirements have led to massive disruptions in business in New Mexico including closing for two weeks numerous essential businesses such as three Walmart's in Albuquerque and Albertson's markets in Hobbs, Roswell, Carlsbad and Las Cruces. Hundreds of other businesses are on the state's "watch list" and detecting 4 or more covid-19 cases will shutter them too. Long lines are forming for shoppers as those grocery stores [and Walmarts] remaining open are limited to 75 persons or 25% of occupancy, whichever is less. All restaurants in the state are closed for in-person dining and hotels are limited to 25% occupancy.Travel is limited to in-state with travel outside the state requiring a 14-day quarantine upon return, negative virus test or not.

These people just need to riot! Go in to those stores, destroy, steal, etc.

That’s what the left has approved of, as acceptable behaviour, right? Just smash and grab whatever it is you want....no repercussions, right?

NM (and OTHER lib states) are sure learning the hard way, what the *benefits* are, of electing these libtard tyrants are.

I guess these NM folks can drive (a few hours) to TX, to get groceries.

Oh wait....I think there are restrictions, in NM, that say you must quarantine, for what....14 days?....if you leave/return the state.

Are there protests happening, in front of this Gov’s home, 24/7?? This is just insane.

Grocery/big box stores weren’t infectious back in Mar-June, but, suddenly are, now?

Again....insane.

Food Pantries have longer than normal lines now, and have for the past few weeks. Ours is making people bring PROOF such as a WIC Card or their Food Stamp CC before they will give anyone anything. All this will do is give more to the normal gang of FREELOADERS, versus helping those that are most likely using a Food Pantry for the first time ever! (I’ve made a few calls; Food Pantry Manager, Mayor, etc.)

Girlfriends in MD, VA and IL who volunteer at pantries and their church food banks are seeing HUGE spikes in need/attendance. :(

It’ll get worse before it gets better. Count on it.

My family in New Mexico did not vote for this. They live in a solid Republican area. My Hispanic husband and his family have always voted Republican as far back as anyone can remember.
Our family is doing our best to get rid of the crazy governor.

After "The Great Election Theft of 2020", I'm no longer certain those people voted blue.
