Once upon a time, Fox News was the “fair and balanced” network, the video equivalent of talk radio where one could go to get news and commentary one could hear nowhere else, truth otherwise blocked by the legacy media gatekeepers. It thrived precisely for that reason and harvested hundreds if not millions of viewers hungry for the truth and the facts about the country and world they lived in and what was happening in both of them.
Somewhere along the way, Fox News began to lose its way and went from a voice crying in the political wilderness to another media outlet seeing how many “likes” it could get on its Facebook page. Fox News forgot, as the old adage goes, to dance with them that brung ‘ya, dropping in 2017 the founding slogan, “Fair and Balanced,” a Freudian acknowledgment those terms no longer applied and were no longer a corporate goal.

They even made a movie about it. The actresses were 100% hotter than those they played except for botox, plastic Nicole Kidman.
Where was the movie about Weinstein, Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer, etc ?
Some of those pictured i don’t even mind. I’m fine with hearing opposing views as long as that person is intellectually honest about it (ie, not just 100% of the time defending everything their side does and 100% of the time attacking everything else....ala Juan Williams). The lady on the bottom left is a good example of that from what i’ve seen. The real problem wasn’t so much the lefty commentators but Fox stealthily injecting anti-Trump poison into their “news” coverage: the fake polls, the 1st debate debacle and the decision desk debacle are unforgivable and rise to the level of criminal activity to my mind.
Thanks for posting this article. Your post gives me a perfect launching pad for my remarks about tonight’s hideous FNC reporting on the status of the challenges to the fraudulent election. Every report emphasized the proposition that there’s nothing to the actually very strong and developing case against th4 validity of the “election.” For example there was not a word about the FEC Chairman’s having just declared it illegitimate and nothing about the massive, developing case that proves it was at least partly stolen through horrendous computer fraud. FNC has definitely taken the dive and deserves to be immediately replaced by Newsmax TV or OAN.

That seem to occur when the elder Murdoch turned Fox News over to his liberal sons. Proof of the pudding is when they put Paul Ryan aka super RINO on their board of directors.
There is simply no parallel of a liberal network having that many conservative commentators.
The collapse was inevitable after Roger Ailes left.

I saw Halperin a few weeks ago when I discovered Newsmax on my cable.
I was very surprised. He had a #me too problem IIRC. Which is why he no lonher works on a major news network.

Why does anyone still watch TV news other than for the local weather and traffic? It’s the easiest platform to manipulate given the imperfection of verbal communications.
