[Vanity] Relax about the RINOs over RBG. Trump & Mitch got this
EEE | 20 SEPTEMBER 2020 | EEE

Posted on 09/20/2020 2:02:58 PM PDT by Extremely Extreme Extremist

Sorry for the vanity - I know we need to crack down on them and fill up the tank, but this needs to be said.

All you FReepers worried about Sens. Murkowski, Romney, and Collins (and probably add Thune and Toomey to the mix, they're wildcards) need to chill. Enjoy the show, as a certain letter of the alphabet has said.

These statements put out by the aforementioned Senators are completely non-binding. They are simply designed to quell some of the Left's anger and soothe passions as the nation mourns RBG. I even wish Trump hadn't said anything about a replacement until at least Tuesday.

Mitch and Trump has been prepared for this exact moment. Already, Pelosi has overplayed her hand to the point where she's being denounced by Rahm Emmanuel himself. The never let a crisis go to waste guy, is out there condemning Pelosi.

Other people who have completely overplayed their hand are the Left's foot soldiers in the media and Hollywood. If there's going to be violence, or hateful comments, especially against ACB, who is a married mother of 7 including a Down's Syndrome child and 2 adopted kids from Haiti, it will backfire on the Left.

Before the hearings (Personally, they should hold a floor vote for ACB, she has already had Senate hearings in 2017) even begin, Mitch is going to read the RINOs the riot act. They are going to be told in no uncertain terms that they have nothing to lose by voting to confirm Trump's nominee. You think the Left is going to stop targeting Collins if she caves? Hell no. Her Senate seat is the #1 target for the Dems.

So, Collins in the end is going to vote to confirm Trump's nominee. Again, her statement is just porn for the liberal media to muse as they report about how "Republicans are distancing themselves from Trump's radical nominee." Collins is going to look at the riots, the threats of violence, and no doubt the smearing of ACB by the Left, and with being chewed out by Mitch, will come to realize that voting for Trump's nominee will light the base on fire and those conservatives who were on the fence will come out to vote for her re-election, while the leftist agitators targeting her will be completely demoralized.

Murkowski is up for re-election in 2022. It's been rumored that Sarah Palin may challenge her. If she votes to confirm, that immediately kills Sarah's chances, because the base will support her for supporting Trump's nominee.

Romney will likely vote no, but optics are the key here. His vote is not needed and it'll be neutralized by a Manchin vote anyway.

So let's not hit the panic button here. I believe these RINOs will fall in line because they will be completely on the outskirts if they don't.

4 Dem Senators lost in 2018 after voting no on Kavanaugh. But McCaskill in MO was going tk lose no matter what.

I was thinking today that the conservatives have NEVER had a woman on the court. We are way past time. The only woman added to the court by an R royally screwed us with abortion.

Can the R’s just vote for Amy or whoever the candidate is without questioning since she’s already been through a confirmation?

You're totally wrong about the Alaska and Maine sob sisters.

They will vote no.

But everyone else is a yes.

I actually think so.

Collins changes her mind a lot.

These swamp RINOs will agree to two or three votes against with a squeaker confirmation and the RINOs get their plausible deniability along with whatever perqs McConnell doles out to their corrupt buttocks.

We have to hope the rino’s understand that having a 4-4 SC when it is known the rats have hundreds of lawyers pledged to contest every state the rats lose is asking for a disaster. It is disgraceful Collins is a no before she even knows who the nominee is. Murkowski is not worth talking about. She is a bought and paid PP agent.

I can’t imagine what they could attack somebody like that with, but I’m sure they’ll come up with something. They’re inventive if not smart.

You sure can say that again! They stay up all night to think in abstracts.

My only real worry right now is mail-in ballots + ballot harvesting.

That was my big worry too. But then divine intervention occurred and Ginzberg was taken from this earth. :)

Mitch will get the nominee confirmed. But probably not before Election Day. That could be a problem if Democrats end up cheating and it’s blatant on what they did. Chief Justice Roberts would be loathe to use his authority since the presidential election is a political matter and only state legislatures have the authority to make the ultimate decision.

I think even Nan’s denture paste if of inferior quality.

Her chompers sure seem to always be slippin’ and a slidin’, whether she’s talking, or not!

We can lose 3 senators and still win because Pence breaks the ties.

A month of two ago I heard a radio commentator, can't remember who, say that looking at the polls now is a waste of time - something big surely will happen between now (i.e. one or two months ago) and the election which will have a huge effect.

And the death of Ginsberg was just that.

As I said back in 2018 in response to all the pearl-clutching during the Kavanaugh fiasco ... there’s no way in hell Mitch McConnell blocked the Merrick Garland nomination for months in 2016 just to blow this opportunity to shape the Supreme Court.

I believe you are being naive about the perfidy and treachery of RINOs. Romney’s dishonor and disloyalty to his country is without end or bound.

Murkowkski’s personal cowardice and weakness have long been on display.

Collins at least has a political excuse. She’s in a bad situation in her race.

All that said, I think T still gets his judge. But it will be 50/50 with Pence breaking the tie.

I don’t understand your take on Roberts. Isn’t he an automatic no vote to Trump?

I think it more likely that Murkowski votes present to try to stay on the fence rather than prove she is on the dark side.
