Facts first. That’s CNN’s motto. Well, here’s a fact the network won’t be reporting too soon. One of its reporters, Kaitlan Collins, read White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany the riot act at yesterday’s press briefing, asking sarcastically, “So have any medical experts told the president that masks aren’t good or is he only citing non-medical experts like [sic] he did last night?”
The press has been on this tear ever since the CDC urged Americans to wear face masks after giving precisely the opposite advice a month earlier.
The only problem with Collins’s rebuke is that she doesn’t practice what she preaches. Yes, she was wearing a mask as she asked the question, but as soon as the briefing ended she removed the mask even though she was still within six feet of the nearest press corps members, whom she would also doubtless encounter up close and personal as they filed out of the James S. Brady Press Briefing...

Even if masks work, the flimsy, non-medical black mask the reporter was wearing could not possibly be effective. But how come the mask (and the reporter’s clothes) changed colors at the end of the clip?

That statement is not true, as we can see. The reporter who removes her mask is wearing different clothes and a different mask.
Either that's a different reporter, or it's the same reporter at a different briefing.
