#1: it's not just DC, the liberal politicos are trying to hold the entire country hostage; it's like this in a lot of places right now.

not sure what part of the city this guy is living in... sure the fed area is desolate at 8pm. It has always been that way. But while I don’t go to restaurants, the ones open esp with outside seating are up to capacity. The waterfront areas have tons of people walking up and down till late in the evening. I used to ride my bike into town via some bike paths, but its much too busy since the pandemic. Everyone else seems to have the same idea.
Is it equally shared misery? ‘Cause that’s what they aspire to.
Funny. I just tried to analyze why I am so miserable from time to time. Honest to goodness, I came up with.......since the day DJT won the election, there has been nothing but doom, gloom, lies, hatred and now anarchy and death. There have been daily “bombshells”, breaking news, hearings, hearings and then impeachment hearings. Democrats and media have been relentless. We went through eight miserable years with Obama, our guy wins, and we weren’t allowed one minute of celebration. The DEMS are horrible hateful people who have ruined this country.

I was born and I grew up here, in the city. D.C. has always been subdued type of place. Whenever I fly back to D.C. it starts even at the airport. I see mostly people who are stressed, and appear self-isolated. Compared to say Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, or even NYC, where I might have flow in from, I notice the clothing right away; it’s dark and bland, so perfectly expressing an introverted, depressed state of mind.
I bet NYC morons can imagine.
I covered an event there in 2009 and was surprised at how dead DC was after 7 PM or so.
Sundance is a former Democrat who also has happened to be wrong about a lot of things. He can be depressed all he wants. We all are. NYC is back to 1970’s era misery, Murphy here in NJ is an abject Dictator. Wolf is no better in PA. Californians must be miserable. Seattle and Portland are falling apart, as is Chicago and Minneapolis. The alternative is to have the entire country like this for a long time.
I do get frustrated with Trump’s handling of this mostly because I want my life to go back to normal. But I don’t know what he can do. He’s fighting a Civil War with Democratic governors, the military is subversive, his own Party except for a few are abject cowards. But the real problem is the stupidity of the American people. They are brainwashed, scared beyond belief and there is no talking to large segments of the population who are all for masks and continued shutdowns and want to keep their kids home. I have no idea what the outcome of this is for the country but I do know that the thought of turning things over to Biden and his handlers with Pelosi and Schumer running things in Congress will only end this country once and for all.
